goodday............you dont have the phone so how can can you say the cam is no good.....the cam is preety good and the video is amazing ,the best i have seen, the phone looks 100 times better in real life,it very thin,the tft is amazing,and the call quality is ok too.......most peopel dont even print out pics from cell phones,the p300 looks great on a computer screen............

Thought I would add a new update about this phone from my last one. Most people think it is funky so I like that they like it. The call quality is amazing which I am please about. I found the sound to be very low but to all you that are still having the same problem, download ringtones or music with a high bitrate rate. The higher the better.I get mine from Limewire and to be honest it is loud enough with some ring tones. I have not really experienced breakup when I am on the phone and believe me I use it alot. The 0 key is still taking some getting used to but I still have to say this phone looks far better than the plastic looking phones right now.

simple basic phone. nice to see and nice to hold.
No infra red,
no external memory,
internal memory only 80mb or equiv. to 19 songs
poor camera quality
keypad's print not durable
doesnt seem to have fm radio.
is there any hidden gold that make the price $500? correct me if im wrong. thanks.

Does anyone have the same problem as me? The samsung software does not let you install java applications and samsung say you have to download them via wap. When I download via wap it goes upto 97% and then says download failed and its not the file thats corrupt as it works in other phones.
Anyone help????:)???

You buy it if you like it. This phone is well Built using Metal case similar to V3i Motorola. It looks cool, something different. There are smaller phones on the market from VK Mobile Korea, but what can compete with Samsung in Korea. Beofre buying this phone, look around, you might find a better device.

I LOVE IT!! It is such a cool phone. Everyone thinks it is a calculator, so I can get away with using it at work. I would highly recommend this phone. Only one negative, the ring tone is very quiet even on the highest volume level

I've had tis phone for about a week now,
It's a great phone. It still amases me how small it is. Fantastic phone
The Bigest Problem I have found is the signal strenth is not that great. I get a lot of break up. Doesnt actualy drop calls But has that anoying breakup.
The T9 is always off so when you come to text you have to switch it on.
Apart from that It's a brill Phone.

Love the phone but the software with it is rubbish, It wont let me install java apps onto it :( Does anyone know how to do this incase im being stupid.
Another thing but not to do with Samsung P300 why the hell does Motorollas bluetooth not find blooming samsungs!!!!

After three weeks with the phone, this is my pro/con list:
pros:
1. Good bright display
2. Love the size and the look. I really don't feel it in my coat pocket.
3. Battery life is great, five days is typical without the sleeve, longer with it.
cons:
1. Shortcuts are limited. You can only select the upper menus. So I can have a shortcut to the setup menu, but not the call forwarding part. Same thing with java apps, I'd like to replace the shortcut to the WAP browser with a shortcut to Opera Mini, but I can't, cause that key is not reprogrammable.
2. Display shuts down completely, so I have to hit a key to read the time or see if I have messages.
3. Can't associate a picture with numbers on the SIM. You have to copy the number to the phone first.
4. The WAP browser has a totally different T9 behavior than the rest of the phone. It doesn't use the same button to switch mode, and you have to switch mode to type a number, you can't just hit the number four times to get it.
Minor things:
- The headset that ships with the phone is stereo (for music), so you always have this extra hearbud dangling when talking on the phone.
- The USB cable that ships with the phone doesn't allow charging.
- When putting the phone in the battery/sleeve thing, it doesn't show that its charging or has additional battery time.
- You can't charge the phone and use the headset at the same time, it uses the same socket.

I went to the samsung shop today to test on the P300.
Finding:
1. Look : 9/10
2. Function : 8/10
3. Price : 7/10
Plus Point : The phone is stylish and slim.
Minus Point : The Ringing Volumes for MP3 and Ring Tones volume was lousy.
Conclusion : I will not get the P300 cause this phone makes no sense. The volume was totally unacceptable, you can't even hear it when the volume was switch to the highest mode. What is the use of getting this stylish phone where you can't even hear when someone calls you. And you even have this MP3 Buttons on the main buttons. Pls wake up samsung!!!!
If anyone have P300, Kindly advice if you have also face this volume problem. Tks!
Samsung!!!! What is P300?? is this a calculator or a phone? Kindly advice!
