good specs, but samsung designs suck.
and they even admitted this model was a copycat of the LG phone, which is a cool product in the korean domestic market.

Katrina,

As a phone consumer, I buy almost any new phone that comes to the market(except those onces that I do not like the design). From my own personal experiences with owning many different Samsung phones in the past, they all have pretty lousy/unstable reception quality.

I have no idea what's the main criteria on chosing a hand set, but I sincerely recommand you to pick another name brand. Nokia phones are good overall. Motorola A1200 is a very nice & small PDA phone with strong & stable reception(I highly recommand this phone to you as it's one of the best phone I've ever owned/used. This phone is also good value for your money!). Some SE phones are not bad either, but avoid K800 & the new Z558 cause they both have unstable reception.

Vertu phones made by Nokia are very high quality phones. With great reception, excellent sound quality(ringtone, ear piece & speaker phone). Except they don't come with any camera(if you need them). If you can afford it; it's the best, period. They are available for sale in Hong Kong.

I was just wondering the reception quality of this phone in Canada. I just aquired an LG KG320 for trial usage and noticed it drops in and out of the network constantly in my office downtown, causing the phone to die quickly, and also makes it not very useful as a phone.

Does anyone have any troubles with reception or would this phone not be for me? I would probably be getting it from HK, does anyone know if it's available there, yet?

Thanks!

on the review just posted: The volume of the 64-chord polyphony is average, while mp3 tunes are loud enough to make the handset literally blow you away even on a busy street.

I agree with Francis. The previous model ringing tone is so soft. Can anyone tell me about the ringing tone of this model (with the leather cover closed). Thanks

Are Samsung thinking straight? The first edition fails mesribly because of its shape so they decide to keep the same shape and just change the buttons and keybad thinking ppl will actually change there minds, and sales will boom?

i don't get how people can vote on the phone's features and performance when the phone is not even out on the market yet!

the best part is - it already has more than 800 votes!!! how? how? how?

argh - i guess this site's voting results are not true... since the phone is not even released yet.
