actually as i've research this phone can store up to 500 images, very good.but the problem are the video has no sound or audio;the infrared cannot function to other celfone or even transfer data/pics to pc...but i was so amazed when i can take my pic even if the cp is closed or even without the help of other people...it's good if the video has sound/audio and the infrared on it is functioning properly...i rate this phone 6%....

I had this phone from 2004 to 2008 until it was stolen by a taxi driver... Sheesh... :(

Anyway, for those who are asking how to transfer your pictures to a PC, you must download and install a software available in the Samsung website. Though I am not sure if its still available. The name of the program is EasyGPRS.

Once installed, you would have to connect your samsung through infrared to your pc and it will automatically detect it.

I would suggest to turn on the infrared connection first and make sure that they're talking before opening the EasyGPRS program.

Limitations
* You cannot transfer video files :(

Loved this phone since the day I bought it, never had any problems at all with it. Neat design and easy to use.

I'm having problems with running Easy GPRS, i don't know whether it's because it isn't compatible with windows Vista, but i use to have it installed on my pc when it was running on xp and had no problems.. but now when i go to open the program it just says "you are attempting to open a file of type 'application extension'(.dll)"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I adore this phone! I've not had one problem with it. The sound is great, it's very navigable, excellent reception, no dropped calls yet. Decent battery too. Highly recommended!!!

Has anyone experienced the same problem:
AVG antispyware detected bad code inbedded in the Easy GPRS software which was included with the Samsung SGH P510 package.

I have been using my P510 for nearly 3 years and it still works excellent! The sound is perfect, the quality is very good and it has not been any problems at all with it. The standby time is about a week when I use my phone at work all day, 5 days a week! I have also had Nokia phones but I had lots of problems all the time. In the future I will only by Samsung, Motorola and LG phones.

Disgusting phone! I get no signal, the battery dies all the time, it takes me a hour to put the phone on. It has trouble charging, and texting is a pain. My nokia 3410 works better than this junk phone. I won't be buying samsung for a while.

Daniel - what operating system do you have on your pc? I heard there are problems using Easy Gprs on XP SP2.

I have a 510 and my daughter has a D500. We both got DATASUITE packages which included a USB data cable and EASYGPRS Software and everything is fine. We can upload and download the data and photos onto our computers. We got it online about 6 months ago from a company called DataKits.co.uk.
