hay, im thinking about purchasing a samsung s5009 and it seems like a very good phone on the o2 website, however im concerned about the memory but as james says you can get a different memory card which seems like a good idea which i may do. I think it looks really good and its small...i've always wanted a flip phone and this seems pretty much ideal, im somewhat confused why I can only find it on the o2 website and on no others, is this because its really new and not many other phone shops have it out? if you could kindly answer my questions i would be most greatful thanx

3. if you can transfer files from your pc to the phone just using the usb cable, without using the software, then dont bother using the software, if not, take it to your local shop and whinge at them! or email me and i'll see what i can do!

1. to get mms settings for it just pick the model which is closest to the s500, most new samsungs are very similar.
2. no you cant get 02 active cos i-mode repaces that
forgotten what else there was..........

recently had the phone 2 days now, very similar in many ways to the d500 which was my last phone, but the video seems sharper and moves more smoothly, so thats a bonus, loudspeaker is built in which is also an improvemnt on the d500's external attacment. Yes 1 or 2 probs, mp3 wont play as ringtomes, can set mp4 files tho! and im having a problem with getting my gprs and mms to work, have tried to set up thru O2 website but they dont have this phone in the list... atm i cant send or recieve pic messages or videos and i cant use i-mode internet... any ideas on how to fix this or get the settings? any feedback would be very much appreciated

I bought a brand new s500i but i have a problem,i installed all the software onto my computer,my computer is preti new.My usb cable which i got free with the phn is recognised but when i use the smasung software it is not and says it is not connected why do u tink this is any help will be appreciated. thks

Does this phone have a built-in loudspeaker? Also, is it still possible to access o2 active, or is i-mode the only mobile internet choice?

i work for o2 and have recently got one of these phones! I love it but have the same problem as everyone else, i want to use mp3 as ringtones but cant! does anyone know of a way to convert them and is there a step by step guide to doing it? maybe someone should write one! apart from that it is a good phone and very popular!

In order to display your contacts on your sim and phone separately, you have to press first 1 then # sign, meaning you are about to view your first contact in the sim. scroll up and down to view each contact according to location. Press 0 until + sign appear, then 1 and then # signs, meaning your are about to view your contact on your phone, scroll to view each contact according to location.
I hope it will work.

This phone rocks!!! It has it all and it's a Samsung which means it's reliable. I don't have one thing bad to say about this phone.

Hmm, before I bought the phone I was curious about the 2 / 1.3 MP camera issue tho it does indeed seem to be 1.3. Haven't put any mp3s on yet, but am very disappointed to read that I can't set them as ringtones.
Sending a text is a little more faffy than it was with my old sony ericsson K700i but nothing majorly upsetting. What IS bothering me though is this: I wanted to associate a picture with a contact, so that when they rang it would pop up with their dedicate picture/ringtone etc. In order to do that, I had to first copy all of my contacts to PHONE memory. So I did this, but now my contacts are all duplicated when I scroll through them (one from phone, one from sim) and there appears to be NO option to 'view from sim only' or 'view from phone only'. This is irritating me as there are now close to 500 contacts i have to look through instead of 250!!
Someone please tell me Im missing something.
OTHERWISE, nice phone. Better looking and nicer display than my old phone, but I'd rather go back to the sony erricsson one personally if the joysticks didnt keep breaking!!

I got one of these yesterday and it's got a 1.3m/pix camera.
Not overly impressed so far. You can't play MP3's or .acc files as ringtones. You need either .3gp or MFi (melody format for i-mode) to get decent ringtones.
Not as intuitive to use as my old Nokia - but then I've had nokia's for the last 7 years.
Looks nice tho'.
