4.u can't unmark the "NO EVENTS" widget. the option is not given there. it comes automatically.

8.radio... sry my last point was incomplete in the question. the radio sound is ok, but everytym i touch the screen for any operation, it disturbs the radio sound, that is, a "BEEP" sound is heard.

3-no .. u can disable dat .... but u can disable it in 5800XM .....
4-go 2 menu ... settings.. display and light.... widgets ... den unmark all those widgets which u du want
5-same wid me ... but is usually starts afet "a second" n not 3-4 seconds
6-dunno abt dis .. coz i haven tried videos yet:D
7dunno abt d why? but yeah ... its a drawback ... dey should have it like dat in 5800XM
8- u need 2 hv proper signals dude ... for d best quality

hi all...
here r sum of the probz i'm facing. wonder if u cud solve dem.

1.is there a way to set birthday reminders on this fone?? u can do it by saving them as schedules on the calendar and "repeat the alarm every year" but is there a more systematic way??

2.there r character smileys in the sms sysbols list. can we have graphical smileys like on the nokia s40s?? i really miss them a lotttt. luv nokia.

3.is there anyway to disable the auto-slide feature when u see pics in landscape mode?? this thing is very sensitive and the pics keep scrolling at high speed just at the slightest bending of the fone. dats irritating wen u're showing photos to ur frndz.

4.can we disable the "no current events" widget from the widget bar?? this "!" mark keeps popping on top of the widget bar without any reason (even when there r no reminders)...

5.why does it start ringing 3-4 seconds after the call comes in. so u can't hear if sum1's giving u missed calls for a few secs. this is a big problem im facing, since miscals r a big fashion mowadays n i need it.

6.while playing videos, sumtimes the audio is not synchronised with the vide. that is, the audio goes faster than the video.

7.there is a "CALL END" touch feature on screen when there's a call. why is there no "CALL RECEIVE" touch option??

8.radio reception is too bad. and stupid sounds

I just got a new phone(samsung S5233) touch screen yesterday..problem with earphones sound..
it has volume variations when i listen to songs with my ear phones..not on the speaker.
The sound, it swings between normal volume and low volume. WHat's happenin?How do i fix it?Will I get a replacement?I got the phone with a warranty

and how do i change the ringtone settings?
i don't want it to increasingly ring..i want it to ring normally.

can anyone tell me hao to load games n other softwares onto my s5233a..???
also as it has accelerometer sensor ..can i get any other application supporting that other than the dice app. that is pre-loaded....??

i made a separate folder and kept all such files in the folder in the phone memory. the OS accesses from there.

i am wondering why the pics and tunes that are in my memory card gets ADDED to the phone memory when used as wallpaper and ringtone.
Does it mean, all files used as wallpapers and ringtones gets read from the phone memory and not from the card?
if thats the case we got to regularly free the phone memory.

i bought my samsung star s5233s last June 14. I know the 5230 doesnt have stylus compartment. It's a good thing that i was able to get the S5233s model which i guess is the model available in the Philippine market. so loving it, it has stylus compartment and i belive it has 100mb memory. Im not really sure thoug. But my phone says 72mb free memory. I have lots of music, photos, videos in my phone. So i assume mine has 100mb capacity. Great phone. definitely worth my 9890Php. :)

Any idea how you can install games directly through PC and USB. I tried but it doesn't allow to do that. I am forced to upload to some free wap site and then download through EDGE/GPRS on to the phone. This is leading to very high GPRS bill for me. Can anyone help?

one option to prevent this is not to fast forward the movie while watching. otherwise this thing will occur. but it still does occur at odd times. i've used about 3 to 4 different converting softwares but still it persisits.
