Faye, 20 Aug 2009I have this phone and i have the same problems with regards to the touch screen? When i am on ... moreto see if your prox sensor is working, make a call and block the sensor (top left next to the 2nd camera)block and unblock a few times, if the screen goes black when you block the sensor it's working. i've notice that a friend of mine made the same complaint it's just that she wasn't holding the phone close enough (to block the sensor). hope this helps

Is the screen clearly visible in daylight? The Omnia is terrible in this regard - makes the GPS pointless during the day.
I have this phone and i have the same problems with regards to the touch screen? When i am on calls it puts my callers on Mute or Hold or End call button. I dont no why it does this????? But as a couple of people have said in the reviews below, the touch screen is meant to deactivate whilst in a call. I really like the phone but i dont no if i like it enough to carry on using it.
Can GAM Arena please do a 'ISO12233 resolution chart' shoot with this phone as you guys do with the newer reviews?

DLNA, 17 Aug 2009Got the phone for quite some time, love it. However, I have a problem now.
The manual says ... moreI've has this phone for over 2 months now. I've had it totally replaced once due to the following problems:
*Phone puts callers on hold constantly when in contact with my ear. Touch screen is supposed to be deactived when in a call.
*Phone reboots itself during a call.
*Phone constantly drops out even with full signal strength.
These faults are occuring with the new phone as well.
I find the phone to be very unsatisfactory and have asked for a replacement model. Samsung has lost my vote with this phone.
Had anyone else had these problems with the phone?

Beautiful OLED screen is really gorgeous. Pictures and videos look clear outdoor. I reckon OLED with natural and rich colors is superior to LCD.

The manual says the touch screen function is deactivated during a call so that u won't touches the screen accidentally, but I(my ears) have serveral times touches the "end call button" on the screen I believe, or it's my phone faulty that it hangs up automatically during a call. Does anyone has this problem or any solution to it? How to deactivate the touch screen during a call?
Thanks in advance. =)
