its around 20k, 19 Jun 2010Dont get me wrong, but i have nothing against India or the people of india, but seriously, how... morePlease be holistic.. dont just get carried away by the numbers..
If you can really go thru the posts for the last 5-6 pages here, u can find out that posts related to Philippines Wave price/release date are way more than that of their Indian counterparts. Yes, I agree that they are also frustrated after suspecting downgraded specs of Wave to be released there. And I am not encouraging anybody to post too many non-productive posts here.. be it an Indian or a Philippian or your so called "1st world heroes".
If one say not to get it wrong, there is a need to suspect that there is really something wrong.
Here u say I-dot-want-to-offend; but u are really trying offend a group (India in this case). Thats how ur post sounds to me.
I am not here to defend my nation or its people, but just remember that India has 1.1 Billion population. And so in several things numbers might mislead anyone.
If they had released Wave first in India you could have got more productive user reviews/experiences than those frustrated posts (as u term them); from India ns than from anybody else. Its becos of the numbers again!!!
You have got to respect every nation - be it India or Phil or anything. You cant pin point an entire community for something done by a random bunch.

If you have sexy fingers, no problem with qwerty portrait, Iphone-like. But there is that traditional pad in portrait. In landscape, no problem, the same as Iphone too.

Even slightest touch on the screen is already SUPER sensitive. I have stubby fingers and have NO PROBLEMS texting or typing on it like a regular keyboard, either it being Landscape or protrait mode. Many consider the coming Samsung Galaxy S i9000 is and iFone killer. :P

(Php 19184) If you have unlimited internet access on your globe, smart, sun, sim card, or even a WIFI network at home, you can download Samsung apps. Some need to be paid, and most are usually free. :)

Just even the SLIGHTEST touch on the screen of the keypad, either portrait or landscape, the response is amazingly sensitive. So don't worry about that!
Dont get me wrong, but i have nothing against India or the people of india, but seriously, how stupid do u really have to be to ask same question over and over again?
I posted a user (my) experience/impression on Samsung Wave almost 2 weeks ago, the very next day i received it, where i shared my opinions, pors and cons, which sometime become key factors when it comes to making a decision for others. This is how it should be, helping each other, answering questions, getting others to make the right choice. Or at least thats what i thought!
Today after almost 2 weeks i popped over to gsmarena to find out how other users (like me who already has a samsung wave) getting on with wave and their opinions, experience, impression regarding the phone. At first i thought i was in the wrong place coz user comment were no where to be found!! All i can see is one indian asking another where to get the phone from, how much is the price, if the price is real, if 17500 is a black market price, when will it get released so on and on....bla bla bla....Seriously???
i understand ur frustration not being able to hold one by now, almost a month after the official release, which is a same for samsung india. I know waiting can be very frustrating and its very easy to lose patience, but lets face it, thats the price u have to pay when u live in a 3rd world country.
I dont have to be an einstein to figure out that samsung will release wave when they do (in a week or so, a wise guess) at an approximate retail price set by samsung india (around 20k, another wild guess) from samsung retail store and authorized dealers. if u do have any question regarding this matter, please contact samsung india.
I guess the point im trying to make here is that before u post a comment or ask a question, be sure to spend couple of mins to see if there were a similar post. and not just 1 or 2 of them, its like over 50% posts here are about "wave indian price, release date". So please try not to post same comment (slightly different way) over and over again. Let some of the real wave users (already has a wave) to post their comment, experience which will not only benefit u, but everyone.
Before a takeoff, i would like to apologize to anyone who might find this offensive. Like i said at the beginning of the post, i got nothing against india or the people of india, its just how i feel. I believe being in Democratic country gives me the right to express myself, another way the "freedom of speech".
BTW samsung wave rocks, theres nothing better than the wave on the market right now!
for philippine market, distributors just confirmed yesterday afternoon that 1 more week delayed for wave that they will probably receive the stocks from SEPCO by june 30... sorry for delays... i hope it would come earlier. as the dealers and media launch of wave and galaxy s in phil. was suppose to be june 23, now they moved it to june 30 bec of stocks deley...

but I have problems with the apps ... at first I downloaded my first app easily (southAfrica2010) and then whenever I press get on an app it says waiting ... and that's forever .. I tried to use kies but that also tells me that my country is not supported although my country is listed (Middle East) .. I would really appreciate any help ^^
I tried to install java applications from .jar files. After installation, I cannot find the icons to run these application. Anyone knows how to install .jar files?
Few people here who have just bought the Wave mention their experience with texting/typing using the soft keyboard, and reviews say it appears to be a weak spot. Does your own actual experience bear out what the reviews say about texting difficulties?
I'm looking to add a touchscreen fone to complement by beloved Blackberry Bold, and I've just tested the IPhone's soft keyboard. I love how easy it is for me to type on an Iphone, and its predictive text is just really good.
But I'm also seriously considering the Wave as a second fone because of the many enthusiastic and happy reviews.
Please share any experience you have regarding ease of typing using its keyboard in portrait mode (I don't like having to shift to landscape when texting.)
