sukrsa, 20 Feb 2010What about third party software? Can we install symbian saftware on it? of course NOT dude,, I'm sure many people will laugh when they see your words,, hahhaahaa
owhh,, I hate to say this, but the interface, umm, the pop up style, is iPhonish,, however, it blends great multimedia experience and nice fluid UI perfectly,, haha (",)
I'm really excited for this phone.. Although I will wait a bit b4 buying after what happend with the whole Omnia thing.. See if it's really that good..
The design of this phone really reminds me of the Samsung Ultra series.. Specifically the Samsung U600..
The U600 was the best looking phone I had seen when it came out n i fell in love with it's looks.. Hopefully The s8500 will work as well as it looks..
what do u think about this phone compare with samsung jet. .with 1 is more better?

True they rarely upgrade the oporating system, from which they released, which is truely a pitty. But.. If they do publish this really good, and gag a little about how many apps there are available and make a store for just that, (andrioid market kind of thing) then they simply can't fail! It will clearly be the new "device-that-every-one-wants" kind of thing (as iphone used to be). They will simply create a new fashion. But the one difference between this fashion device and the apple will be that this phone actually will be good and worth the fortune u spend on it, am I right?. Or do we have another of those who are gonna gag about this being an "iphone wannabe", because that ship has sailed along with... hmm.. yeah dunno how to finish that sentence.
Please stop doing better cell phones, these things are making me regreat buying my samsung android lol
samsung do firware updates via pc suite get with it
AKZ, 18 Feb 2010i already have this phone,STUPID phone really...Sound often fails ..maybe you got it in your dreams and dreamt that the sound was that awfull...are you kidding us? for real? are you from the future? i mean...nevermind! hahaha
Anonymous, 19 Feb 2010the only problem with samsung is that after they made a nice phone they stop supporting it,the... moreTrue, because they want you to buy a new phone. Time for Samsung to upgrade firmware via PC like Nokia.
the only problem with samsung is that after they made a nice phone they stop supporting it,they rarely release updates,fixes,firmwares.......and i dont no why
ha niraj what android i think ur out of bounce...this is a bada software which is a proprietary os of samsung...this is next to my list is its available i gona sell my jet hehehe
Super Amoled-screen IS good ,BUT...WHERE is 8 Mpix camera??.
=/
UPGRADES ON SAMSUNG WAVE: Super AMOLED (5x more vivid than a typical AMOLED screen and 20% improved performance when used outdoors), Wi-Fi 802.11n (1st time on mobile), Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP (1st time on mobile), 720p @30fps (1st time on mobile), Geomagnetic Sensor, AGPS on/off board navigation (3D Map free), music player wl SoundAlive
Samsung keeps on innovating which is good for us consumers. Their new OS BADA looks promising. Samsung has competitive edge over the rivals because they're both software and hardware company. They can converge hardware specs such as high-end camera, video, music player and even the so called Digital Natural Image engine used in their LCD TVs (mDNie mobile version)
AKZ, 18 Feb 2010i already have this phone,STUPID phone really...Sound often fails ..I dont think that Samsung can overtake nokia and will be a no. 1 brand in future..
Only one Nokia n8 can easily beat Samsung Wave and all other Samsung's 12mp & 8mp phone...
Pls. wait for Symbian^3 and see how it will overtake Android and Bada...

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2010It's not really a smartphone - you can have only one 3rd party program running at the time and... morewe cant judge the phone now till it become available
It's not really a smartphone - you can have only one 3rd party program running at the time and you can't replace any of the standard features. Also, there's no copy/paste and some other standard features. Still - it reportedly has a huge amount of RAM (like 512+ MB) and a flexible OpenGL implementation. Coupled with a very nice screen and a good multitouch implementation it's almost a given that there will be games and pretty cool too - it can easily rival iPhone here. The only question is how Samsung handles their distribution and piracy, so that developers are interested. But again - it's not a very good business smartphone. More of a multimedia and entertainment thing.
