Please let me know is this handset is worth to buy..
how long ur using this one.... moreYes it is worth to buy. Worth every penny. Till now, and if Samsung keeps continue to update the software it will be perfect. And they first need to improve their Kies software, it is actually pathetic.
Jai, 22 Jul 2010Feedback about Samsung from indian users isn't very promising. Had a talk with one retailer in... moreyou want to have a perfect phone? please manufacture it with your self, please be reminded that nobody's perfect ok!!!even a phone can't be perfect, battery should be charge by atleast 5-10 cycles before it will maximize its 100% capacity, how will you be confused of the UI of wave its of the eye candy and user friendly smartphone in the market? the buyer should know how to read the manual and the store dealer must know the technical know-how of the phone that they are selling, because if they did not know all those that's really a big problem, buyers and sellers are pathetic in that case!!!! i have wave and i might also encountered some minor problems but that has been resolved already because i know how to read and understand the manual and resolve it myself not by means of spoonfeeding the answers from somebody..

Saurav, 22 Jul 2010It was JE7, and the upgrade option is to JF2.Every Indian device is built in with JE7. I don't know what's new JF2, but there should be some minor bug fixes, you never know until you flash it. When Samsung itself is providing an update your responsibility is to take it, no matter if there is anything new or not.

Sam, 22 Jul 2010wt ur phone FW VersionIt was JE7, and the upgrade option is to JF2.
For the people having problems upgrading their Waves through KIES. Make sure of two things.
1. Your firmware version is native to your region
2. The location settings on KIES is set to your own country or region.
If you have an INDIAN firmware and want to check if there's an upgrade, it's only sensible to set your location to INDIA. I know most users have UK set because they have more apps.
Also, please be advised, that when you FLASH you are playing with the possibility of ruining your device as well as voiding your warranty. All firmware released so far doesn't really offer anything new or major but just minor differences. It doesn't even change anything SUBSTANTIAL on the phone, just the little things. I would advice that you just upgrade when Bada 1.5 or 2.0 arrives, but then again it's your phone, so do what you want.
Also I don't get why people can't even bother to read the manual. Most of the queries I'm reading in these posts are solvable by reading your manual, people. Someone even asked if this phone had wifi? Are you kidding me? That's why most of the older Wave users stopped answering the questions here because a lot of people too lazy to research on it themselves.
Please do us all a favor and read your manuals.
sam, 22 Jul 2010i download it yrrrr..it safe or ntWhat do mean by safe or not? This is darn FW update...every brands does this. I never believed Sammy will ever provide an update but they did, but not in easy way. I will wait a day maybe, then this device is in trash...
Question..., 22 Jul 2010I have a question can someone help please?
Basically once you download the apps via Kies in... moreYes, all your downloads are stored under "C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\Samsung\Kies\Download\Applications"
All you need to do is backup this folder.
4 and a half hours in front of my desktop, still unable to a successful FW update....
I have a question can someone help please?
Basically once you download the apps via Kies into your pc, are those apps are yours to download forever? basically some of the apps were free when I downloaded to my pc but have't put it to my wave. so can I use this apps over and over again without downloading them again from internet?
