The 5.1 is unbelievable....crappy.
But the Soundquality without any effects is very good...testet with Shure SE530.
bada (till 1.2) is alot better than its young stage of developing.
The pictures taken with SAMOLED and SLCD are crappy, the brightness wasnt that calibrated.
Tests of SAMOLED vs. Retina are showing, that SAMOLED had the best Colorrange and nearly perfect colors....just the whitedot was a little "problem".
Is the i.e 300 euros is right???
It means it is 18000 INR?????
Can anyone tell how much it costs in India, coz i heard it is around 25k i.e 450 euros
well imao this version slighty better ofc but i still choose s8500 one just bc of its size lolz why bigger eww this phone obviosly for guys and the first wave can fit for both girls or guys lalala :p
karan, 17 Nov 2010i do see in the pictures where wave 1 is compared with wave 2, screen of wave 1 is better and ... morebut super clear lcd clarity of images is good, compared to superamoled when you take photos images look white or blurred images. go to phone arena website see the difference. super clear lcd win for images camera capture. i will get this soon. wave s8530 bigger screen, it produces good clarity camera images compared to wave1.
the sound quality on this phone is unbelievable...5.1 surround sound..come on ..on a mobile phone..truth is though, it really works.!
Overall. i waited 3 months to get this phone with my new contract...it was worth the wait..
if you tweek the settings the battery will last for 3 days and the video quality is better than a family members £500 HD camcorder, the screen quality is awesome and will blow your mind...go for it and get it..soon...the supply wont last forever and the wave 2 wont have the super amoled screen..!!!!!!

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2010HI Wave Insider, Tell me one good reason why i should buy the samsung wave II instead of th... moreTo all those interested in buying the samsung wave I, the only available alternative is to buy the phone from reliable online stores which seem to b the only place having a few of them left..
Hey i would like to make a correction to my earlier post where i said samsung would not b able to replace the s-amoled screens in case of any mishaps. But in reality samsung has adequete stock for backup in case any handset needs a screen replacement. My sincere apologies for the error.
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2010Hi.. I Want to buy Wave 1 but i need to know can i get an s/w update to Bada os 1.2?? If so ho... moreThe Bada update to 1.2 is unofficially available at various wave forums. The official update would be out early or mid next month. The wave I definitely has the best screen to date and offers the best viewing angles. The wave II is quite bad in terms of viewing angles as wel as in direct sunlight. But the display on the wave II is as good as normal amoled displays of other phones. Since u r from bangalore I wud say it is virtually impossible to find the original wave in any of the showrooms. Even the dealers dont have a single piece with them. I've seen several deceiving pictures of comparing the 2 waves but honestly the super amoled wins hands down... BUT the wave also suffers from screen burning, which means by leaving a particular image on screen for a long duration tends to remain in grey shades on the screen even wen the handset is put on standby.
i like this, where date released available in the phillppines? i want bigger screen. but if this wave2 is higher than price of nokia n8, ill go to n8...
Super clear LCD is ok for me, SuperAmoled its super brighter the true color not balance. like when you take a picture SAMOLED it is look whitish color, but super clear LCD is balance and true color. not whitish and not blurred.
