nothing novel in design and what aboutt apps? we were expecting at least flash 10.1 or above in browser, even in these times no flash 10.1 in a phone with 1.4 Ghz processor!!!!
people forget that when a company launches a smartphone... it has to cover many grounds of pricing and also not to diminish other products of the catalouge as well....wave 3 is very cleverly disguised phone which should not hinder the sales of galaxy SII...by giving similar hardware with lower price tag... hence no dual core but 1.4ghz vs 1.2, 4" Led screen etc etc..... good strategy to keep the price low and still attract customers who could not afford the galaxy SII.
no amount of ram stated, what is final is that it uses snapdragon. 1.4ghz processor, 768mb ram, full flash support in the browser will be good enough to beat other mid-range android phones. dual-core fanboys better keep their mouths shut for now
got a Wave 1 and itz good but will move on to Galaxy sII lte cause of the availability of apps. BADA is nice but lack of updates and apps is really shitty. plus no skype not acceptable so this phone looks good on paper but the reality is that u will still be lacking apps and updates in the future
not satisfied with the performance that GSMArena has givn in its preview... it looks kindda slow when starting an application! plus Samsung is only making gr8 hardware for Bada with no significant increase in apps, wave series makes me feel like linux on pc, very less FPS type games to exploit awesome hardware :(
Great phones. But no software for bada. There is no even a good book reader....
Wave series definitely offer good things at fairer price. And their flagship devices are real eye-candy. But limited app in its store, leaves u with a poor taste. I own wave ii, m blown over by its aesthetic beauty, video playback capabilities, but thats it, full stop. Go to samsung app, n 9 out of 10 visits, u wud regret wondering whether u shud have opted for sum other OS.
How about free gps navigation, office document editor, email attachment unzip and text to voice features in Wave 3? Bare micro usb port, missing cam key and backside placed loudspeaker makes us sad! But overall nice UI of Bada 2 really eyecatching. Welcome Bada 2.
i know one thing samsung just know how to copy things and this will not work for long....!!
Why the Preview says that it has 2 GB when here it says 3 GB?? Please correct the mistake Gsmarena.
I have Wave1. IM just simply Dissappointed for my upgrade.
Design is not that impressive as Wave1
No Camera shutter key
Loudspeaker is at the back
still no stereo speakers
not SAMOLED plus
The specs are kinda low . The original wave had similar specifications with the galaxy S . But this doesnt have similar specs with galaxy S 2.
Though i kinda understand why it doesnt since it has no flash in browser and no full hd recording. But still a tegra 2 chipset would have been welcome , maybe developers could have imported some tegra games on bada.
bada is a verry stable , bug free platform and its ideal for the first commers in the world of smartphones( day to day users )
If the price is right and i'm low on funds and can't afford a high end android when my current phone (HTC legend) dies i might give this a try. I think this is more of contender against Symbian phones than anrdoid or IOS, There's so way it can be worse than my N97 Mini. Bada 2.0 is only OS i haven't tired as well. i've had multiple symbian phones, ios, android, blackberry. and i have a touch pad on the way so i can take a stab at WebOS before it's forgotten.
So i wouldn't mind seeing what BaDa is about....
Please compare phones of the same range before passing verdicts Galaxy S2 and Iphones4/5 are not in the same range as wave 3, and I think this would be a fantastic phone I have had wave 2 for 8months and it has been better than any other phone in its range so call it as it technically should be.
ST, 30 Aug 2011Wave 3 must have;Camera 8MP Xenon flash and video light, Internal Memory 16GB,RAM 1GB,Processo... moreThe Wave 4 will have such features, now people must accept this one. This has 3 GB of internal storage. Go and see HTC and SE. Both have phones with less than 3 GB only.
I think wave1 : the ram has only 128Mb not 512mb. So that just i had experience with not enough.
hope wave 3 will not face the same problem.
karan1, 30 Aug 2011i am using wave2 since 3-4 months and truly satisfied with it it's paid games are so much gre... moreDude, no offence but are you sure ur not hallucinating?
