Really nice design, but be honnest, no camera, no wireless. sometimes I do not understand Samsung, they have the know how to make the most perfect mobile ever, but seems they are not willing to do. Add wifi and 5MP camera inside this device and you have something really "TOP". Samsung beware of LG, they will take a big part of your market share very soon.

Hello guys and gals,
Calm down.
Isn't that what good design is?
You have exactly two options: "like it or hate it!", "buy it or leave it!"
As simple as that!
It might me chunky and "new" in terms of design.
Same what happened to BMW when they launched the new 7 Series.. But he, the marked followed!
One comment to all the I-Phone comments: "There are maybe ppl out there who don't want to follow the mainstream! That's called Individualism!!!!"
That is exactly what the phone represents.
And for the classic ones under us, think about a phone with less gimmicks and perfect voice quality. That is what I associate with a phone. When I want to make a picture, well I have a 10 mio Pix Camera.. as simple as that!

I have this phone at the moment. It's actually really intuitive to use after you're familiar with the scroll wheel. It looks good, feels good in the hand and the sound quality is amazing from the speaker. Price is a little high, but come on, isn't everything expensive in Bang and Olufsen's world?

US$2,000 and only 4GB Memory? No camera. No WiFi. Is Bang & Olufson insane? The iPhone has 8GB of memory. The iPod Touch has 16GB of memory.

Yes, although overpriced and they get a large profit margin, thats the purpose, to sell a little for high profits. Still normal phones would earn more money by selling more products. theres a target market for each phone. If the serenata is priced at 700, same as n95, it will sell 0 units as people will choose the n95!! Therefore makin the price so high is to attract certain unique rich buyers to get a different market segment

The more I think about this B&O Serenata the more I see it is a perfect example of 'luxury branding'; used to sell an overpriced object to those who consider themselves 'classy, elegant and worthy of exclusive products'.
The phone will probably be constructed with about $150 worth of components, and labour, by some overworked and underpaid person in China. And, yet I'm sure Samsung and B&O will mark it up at least 10 times and sell it for $1500+.
All luxury brand manufacturers do the same thing now. For example, most Louis Vuitton bags are made for about $100 in Chinese factories. (Yeah, I know it says made in Paris on them, but they only finish them up there - my wife works in the fashion industry. Therefore, I know the facts about these products.) And, yet LV will charge $1500+ for them, making an enormous profit.
These luxury brand makers are just playing with people's ego for financial gain.

I don't know why you need a good sound quality for .ogg files, for ex., if you can buy an Iphone or an iPod for less than u$s 2000 (?????!!!!). Sincerelly, I the design looks good, but I don't need it.
