having u100 or other makes it's just the same if you are not making use of it's features. where most of the people just use any high end models just to make call and send messages. u100 is very sleek and pocketable

well im still having 2nd tought of buying this unit... can you pls tell me... what is the advantage of having a Samsung U100 than having other mobile unit just like N95 or Motorola moto SLVR l72....

hey watch out!!! keep this mobile out of reach if you have pet dog. this can be easily mistaken for a dog's biscuit.
this is the most wonderful mobile i have owned in years to come.

battery life is excellent and not like x820. heavy using needs charging every 2nd day which i do and light using on every 3rd day.

does this turn off gprs below work for anyone else??
i get *#4777*---# and it is says its an invalid character..

Press *#4777*8665# to deactivating GPRS if you dont use it...whit this you can insrease your baterry life for 20%.

Hi, can someone please tell me what the battery life is like? I love the design of the phone but am worried that if I buy it the battery won't last long... My X820 didn't last long at all.

The following dimensions shown on the official Samsung's website is wrong.
(Dimensions:105.5 x 50 x 5.9 mm/Weight:57g)
I own this mobile and measurements taken with the help of Vanier Calliper engineering instrument reads: 115.5 x 50.5 x 5.9 mm
I hope after seeing this comment by Samsung's officials, they may correct on their website information against this model.

Could anybody verify the height of this phone, is it really is 115 mm. 105,5 is in every specification you can find on the internet and 10mm is really is a lot on mobilephone...

how stupid. why the phone should display number along with the name. if you have already stored the name of the person in the phone book isn't it enough to know who is calling??????????

its very nice phone, but i am so confused without many profiles as nokia !!
a lot of samsung mobile phones display the name and the phone number for the caller, but in U100 i found it display the name only!
is there any way to display the name and number when any one call me ??

if you dont like carry a brick buy this wafer biscuit thin mobile. note one thing its not fragile like a wafer biscuit but strong like a hard board despite being thin. its not only light in your pocket, its also features packed phone. sound from the speaker is class and can be heard clearly in any noisy envinornment. what impresses me the most in this model is that i can set to reject any particular incoming number.

after turning GPRS off i charge the battery on every 3rd day. i use it for business purpose and receive pleanty of call everyday.all in all i like this phone very much because of it's rich features.

anyone know how to turn off the phone number search when you're typing in a number? it is the most annoying thing because if you're typing in someones number, it skips keys when it comes across a similar number so you have to hit he same number twice!! i've miss entered at least a few numbers already
