I've been using the d830 for a year, its keypad is identical to this one and it's only difficult until you get used to it in about a week, if you can't use the keypad there's something wrong with you

im afraid you will have a nightmare using the keypad of this phone. go for u600 or u100 as they have a very good keypad

just had the prototype test phone here in philippines... the touch sensitive keypad were cool, it mixes with the slight vibration of the phone making the keypad tapping a typical feeling on a regular phone :) and the LCD is impressive. same as the camera even brighter than the D900 and Z720. sorry to say but i hated samsung's decline on user customization --no themes! :( but i'm impressed with the user experience when held at hand :)

well i'm a samsung fan but i must say that this phone is not too good. its keypad is very flat and it doesn't have any corners to know what your pressing. its completely flat! plus it has the vibetonez technology where in if you press a number you will feel a litle vibration signaling that you pressed that number BUT the vibration is delayed. its really plain to use and if you are a text message addict then this phone is not for you... i recommend the u100 or u600

ok,
no memory card may be acceptable
but
there should be bigger amount of memory like 1-2GB.

samsung seems to be concentrating more on slider phone nowadays. except for this model, the rest of the new phones coming out of samsung are sliders. maybe that's the reason they don't concentrate too much on the design of this phone. it's half bake of sorts. no memory card while the other ultra phones have them and no external color screen. at least they should have place an external lcd light like they use to have in their old flip phone. maybe they have concede bar phones to nokia and sony ericsson and flip-type phone to motorola.

My boyfriend recently got the Samsung U600, after his previous phone (D830) broke. I absolutely love its design and style, but since I prefer clamshell phones, I'm thinking of getting the U700 instead.

I'm wondering about its keypad, though. The D830 has a completely flat (for lack of a better desciption) which makes it miserable for me to handle with text messaging. The U600's keypad however is easier and more comfortable. Does anyone know if the U700's keypad is similar to that of the U600 or the D830?

And last but not least; the U600 has a 3.2 camera while the U700 has a 3.0 camera. Is there a huge difference concerning the photo quality?

Mucho gracias!

Rich,

Thanxs for that mate.

Think I'm gonna have to look around the shops.

don't know if it's just me but so many rubbish mobiles about at the moment.. They are either like a modern day brick phone or just boring as hell to look at.
