Listen Folks, you need to stop thinking that the Specs quoted here are the Holy Grail. It says at the bottom of the spec page that they can't guarantee that the info is 100% correct. They do the best they can. I have seen other Cellphone websites that say it WILL have a memeory card slot. Who do you believe? I agree that Samsung is not Stupid! They know what their customers want. Have some Faith!

This phone does NOT have a card slot. Read the specs folks before asking "smart" questions.
Just like the Z710, this one also is probably gonna take forever before it comes out. Samsung probably doesn't have the technology yet to make it proffitable.
Wish they would stop announcing so early.

I think it has a memory slot. It has a 3+MP camera. Come on, guys! Have some faith in Samsung! They couldn't be THAT stoopid!

Im loving how this phone has no external screen, just a minimalist OLED up top to give you information, no tacky tiny square screen to add price like with the nokias.
No expanadable memory in my mind is such a mistake. The d830 has it and that phone is only .3mm thicker and a year and a hald old so what gives!

Samsung u300 is almost perfect mobile phone. This is an incredible mobile phone: great design, great features, except one thing. This mobile phone doesn't have memory slot and it's really shocking. How would on earth I can possibly store video files in H.263 format with memory capacity of 70Mb? It's just ridiculous. If I were the president of Samsung, I would have sacked the responsible man or woman.

Actually that video suggests that there is not a screen in the black bit but the site i saw sed it did hv a small n discrete one.

hey iw as looking on another website and it does say that there is a fm radion on it...this spec page did say that its not 100% correct. as for the extra memory i duno...but there is an external screen. its the black bit on the front...kinda like the lg ones that light up when u push a button or open it! :D

If you compare the U300(Ultra Edition II) to the D830(Ultra Edition I) you see that the specs are very similar. The D830 has a Micro SD slot. It should also be possible with the U300. I watched the video. It indeed looks like a memory slot. Just because the spec sheet here states it does'nt a memory slot, does'nt mean that it's true. They just go by the best information they have at the time. Samsungs not stupid. They know what features customers want. Just wait till it hits the market.

I do like this phone very much, but the only correction i want to make is that i watched a video about the specifications of the Samsung U300 and it doesn't have flash, so you might wanna correct that. I actually sometimes dont get why some companies dont put flash in phones.

O.K Ivannnn & sixty-nine, take a good look at this video. http://freshphones.info/category/samsung/ It really looks like slots on both sides of the U300. If one is for the SIM, than the other has to be for extra memory! We can only hope!!!

Its probably a slot for headphones, and if the specs say it doesn't have an SD slot, then it probably doesn't have one.

This is really irritating, the phone looks fantastic but but the lack of Fm radio and expandable memory is really putting me off... Ahwell at least the u600 has them i guess.

this ph is really well built. external mono display is enough. and metal body is wat i really long for. thickness is just abt SE W880 and this is clamshell!! perfect!! the only downside is no card slot(almost certain) which is a real shame.
