Is this true that the sound is by Bang & Olufsen??
If so, it would be awasome sound.

The ringing volume is good. it doesnt start quieter then get louder, it is just full volume straight away.
The tones are loud enough to here, and the mp3 player when played on loud speaker has good volume.
I cant say how it compares to the mp3 player on the D900 as i havent owned one. but the quality on the U600 seems great to me.
had this phone 3 days now and really really pleased with it!

Thanks
So lots of talk for little really : there is high CIF recording for normal video and low QCIF for MMS messages, like so many other Samsung phones. I want one, still not available here in Bangkok !

Found som info from someone who got the phone..
"352 x 288 for unlimited recording and 176 x 144 for MMS messages."
"When you have the setting to unlimited recording time it records in Mpeg 4 in the highest quality. When you limit the recording time to mms capacity it will record in 3gp at a lower quality.
The flash is the basic photo light similar to previous ones."

hi everyone,
so the u600 can only take qcif recording after all....that is strange why would they have the higher resolution setting in the phone but doesn't allow user to choose it??
either way its a shame that such a nice phone and a new release by samsung has these fault settings.

Very strange that the CIF mode is present but unavailable... My two year old and 200$ E770 has very good CIF(352x288)recording.
That was my main reason for buying a Samsung phone. Or maybe they want us to buy the more expensive U700 ?

Samsung U600 DOES NOT have CIF video mode. I checked phone in O2 today, The phone is set to sub-standard qCIF mode as default. The higher resolution are shown as options but the higher setings are in faded font and CANNOT be selected the option to users it to use a useless 3 year old technology. It is an insult to customers that samsung feels it can inculde such 3rd class features in the latest phone.

Any comment about the loudness of the phone, for phone calls, ringtones and listening to mp3 via loudspeaker?
