I just got this phone today, still waiting for the Network to activate the sim card though.
I've generally found the whole phone really impressive atlough it does feel a bit flimsy. When pressing the buttons each row requires different amounts of pressure from your fingers. The phone randomly falling asleep and having to be woken up by pressing the i button is quite annoying too. I'll get used to it though and won't think about it.
The camera and screen quality is really impressive, it's extremely pleasing to use.
Generally the aesthetics are really good.
loving the phone but anyone know how to set mp3's as a message alert tone please
Just wanna say thanks for the tip about X820 -batterys, instead of the following one to the u600 -phone!
One question.. whats the real difference between Li-ion and Li-ion Polymer?!
Also.. can someone, Who has this phone, post a list with pros and cons about u600?!
hi about the headphones.... u should buy an extension cable basically allowing u to use ur own headpohones! the ones they provide are lousey. u can buy this connection piece form many internet companies and its quite cheap!
this phone is ace!! its beauty outshines all phones on the market.
got the phone yesterday and used to it allready, love the fact that at last samsung have enabled the use of mp3 to be set as txt message tones ...t9 txt will take a bit of getting used to as you have to scroll to the word you want but sure it wont take long, battery seems ok,played with it allday and only just put it on a charge from out of the box. video's, pictures and music is better than the old mans d900...he is now waiting to get the u600.all round its a good phone does everything i want it to,
Anybody know how to turn the annoying 'enter pin' when sending files through bluetooth?
any 1 kno the internet and mms settings for cingular with useing this phone
ive got the u600 for two weeks, works good except I have a problem with calling and receiving.. sometimes when i answer a call i dont hear anything, same thing happens when i call.. ppl at the other end of the line tell me they hear me but i dont hear them..
so i have press the silent mode button "#" twice: once to get in silent mode and a second time to get out of silent mode, only then i can hear again..
I wonder if this is normal and im doing something wrong or.. the phone came bad from the factory.. if anyone knows about this id appreciate your help.. cheers
Just got mine today and so far so good. Just wandering how to play it through different speakers or headphones as the ones that came with it don't fit in my ears!
Also anyone dropped theirs yet?
the battery is shocking, yesterday after a full overnight charge I went out with the phone at about 11am, spent 10-15 mins playing games on the phone, heard 1 or 2 MP3 tunes, used WAP for about 10-15 mins, had the radio on for about 25 mins in the afternoon, and played with the camera for about 10mins. I made a couple of 10 min phone calls and sent 1 text.
By 9pm the battery was completely dead. I don't know if it's the large screen, but the power is sapped by using the features of this phone and so I am sending it back.
If you manage to fine a place to get spare bat. Your best getting an X820 Bat it's the same size voltage and shape But lasts a lot longer because its a Li-ion Polymer type. Where as the U600 is only a Li-ion.
I've changed mine to an X820 Bat and now I get a t least 6 to 7 days usage out of it....
Anybody knows where to by accesories to this phone - like extra batteries?
ps. samsung.uk.com isnt recomending that you try other samsung batterys to this phone, like some other guy who wrote that batterys for the X820 would also work on U600...
for the best details: visit this http://europe.samsungmobile.co.../feature.jsp i love the black u600!
does any body know about the sensitivity of the touch sensors, have been told over and over that the e900 was really bad for this problem.
I've had this phone for a few weeks now, its excellent. I upgraded from a D600 & can say its definitely a step forward, lots of the things that annoyed me with the D600 have been ironed out.
The only thing is I can't work out a way to send files through bluetooth without having to enter a pin? even with secure mode turned off.
