I quite like the design - not sure about the touch buttons yet - they are very sensitive. The themes are very limited. In response to the Q about the locking when on the phone - i think this has to happen to stop your ears from setting off the touch buttons etc.

The one major issue I have which is making me not like the phone is in texting and I would like to know if anyone else has this issue. Its to do with predictive text and when you write out a word you can scroll through to the correct one word and press the "I" button to select it. This is okay but there seems to be a bug causing the scroll not to work sometimes meaning you cannot select another suggestion! How frustrating is this!! EXTREMELY! Anyone else experiencing this at all?

Only the 4 buttons on the top slide are touch-sensitive. The rest are keypad (numbers 0-9 and the round button on the front)

This is my first Samsung phone. I have always had a Nokia with never any problems.
I've had the U600 for a week now and am so far happy with it, except for the following:

1) I have to charge it every night - I unplugged the phone from the charger in the morning, at about 8:30, went to work and returned home at about 19:00 and the battery was already near dead.
I didn’t charge it another night and the phone switched off due to no battery life!!!

2) When I am talking on the phone, the keypad locks automatically (when the slide is either up or down) and I have to unlock the keypad to hang up the call – very frustrating as I sometimes forget to unlock and keep the other person on the line without knowing.

Does anyone know how to change the automatic keypad locking? I find it completely useless to have for when on the phone talking.

Why doesn't it come with a specified size of external memory than stating external memory included......
does it come with additional housing and a case

Does any one know how long the battery really lasts when in everyday use, is it one of those phones you have to charge every night?

Good phone but there is no RDS radio, and the battery life STILL sucks!!

SO: Sony Ericsson still the best

Does the U600 allow more that 4 playlists? A limitation of the previous Samsung D500 & D600 phones. Can it take 4gb microSD cards?

To pk,

Have you owned a Sony Ericsson before and played music on the phone? If so, can you use the up and down volume keys on the U600 to do 'next track' and 'previous track' whilst the phone is closed and in the pocket?

Thanks in advance.

Is this true that the sound is by Bang & Olufsen??

If so, it would be awasome sound.
