Can't recommend this phone. It takes too long to take a picture. I just wait with the phone in my hand for 10 sec to take the picture after I pressed the button. When I put a memory card in the phone, it lags before it starts actually playing a song.

this is a real good phone...
but i have a question. this fibre problem can it be ended once and for all?
coz this will be third time am changing the fibre of my U600

cheap cell ever dntbuythis cell...slider problum ismost common if u wil buy then used only one or two months b,coz slider is sucks n slider ribbun is very cheap quality which compony use in this device...

I use U600 from almost 2 years. This phone have realy TV-out. I bought a TV-out cable compatible with the phone (around 10 euro) and works. I use the phone to play (MP4) cartoons from phone on TV during the summer holiday for my kids. The resolution is 320x240 pixels is ok on old TV (640x480 pixels), but on new HD TV (LCD or plasma) may be problrms with the image quality, depend on kids or you. Use the programs Samsung PC Studio 3 deliver by Samsung to convert your movie in mp4 format. An advice: use short movies aroun 5-6 minutes log to play, if the movie is long 1 hour the coresponding file (mp4 file) is big and the phone canot play (because of its internal architecture). So the only way to play a long movie is to cut the file in small pieces and play each separatly. To return back, is OK to entartain your kids in the hotel room when the wheater is not good for playing out (is raining :(( ).
The phone is OK from this point of view.
The realy problem, for me, is the battery. If a hear radio (very good stereo quality on ear-phones) during the day, I have to charge the phone in the same day. If I use moderate: a few cals, a few pictures (make great picture for a phone), wake-up alarm with sound level 1, after 3 days I heve to charge the phone. If you want a longer time use for a period of day on off-line mode. If I put the phone durring the night on off-line I can have the phone for 5 days. After that I have to charge the battery.

This phone is a piece of shit please never buy his phone. I bought brand new from France and I used it very carefully even then I gone out of order just after one year. Lot of people complaint about its slider touch keys. more over no tv-out and doc viewer is just to show off no use. Samsunng after sale service is worst according to my own experience.

hi good day! i bought my u600 last 2008. i only use the phone for only 1 year! the service said i need to change the mother board cost Php 4,000. so expensive...
i decided to repair the phone coz i really miss the total package of this phone, so nice. i love my u600. and im planning to buy new housing for this phone.

P.S. I have now 2 of these phones. I bought them as faultyon eBay for a very cheap price. Then I ordered 2 flex cables for them... and changed them. ;) And now I have 2 sweet reserve phones lying in my shelf. ;)

Oh, come on, kids! Why are you whining like babies - no camera, then no sound, then - black screen, then - etc!?? :D Simply disassemble the phone, buy Flex cable for Samsung U600 on eBay for what...2 pounds!? :D Change it and it shall work again. Or order the flexi cable, bring the phone and the cable to a service center and they will switch it. And you won't have to pay full replace price, 'cause you'll have the main ingredients! :D Good luck, folks!

Admittedly it does take a while to take a photo, or play a song, but has some great features. Quite reliable i've had for 3 years, and I even dropped it in a small river and it still worked for a good 18 months after, but not some buttons aren't working so i'll have looked at. I'd recommend buying.
