> In reply to Jono @ 2008-12-19 21:26 from Nh7{to avoid scratches -- keep the phone always wrapped up in linen and silk. to make the battery last -- keep it inside the chilling towers of Sprint where they keep the dedicated servers for FEMA, Homeland Security, etc. super cool and super secure. what a joke!!

and your "soul" collection -- either you're over-funded by somebody else's money or someone dear to samsung is gifting you these tincans. perhaps it's about time for everybody to realize that review of samsung phones can not be trusted anymore. why? because samsung probably makes a few handsets specifically to be reviewed by "mobile review" and/or "gsmarena". and then they bulk manufacture a scaled down version to launch it in the market. creepy trade secret? dishonest marketing strategy? welcome to the real world. the truth is out there? must be.

Ok.. that umm "honest" review of the phone just had my mouth hanging open. With the exception of the colourful screen and sleek design eveything else is a total contradiction to my experience. Iv always owned samsung phones and this ranks very well in their Soul line up ( i also have a U900 ) and fits in neatly. The music/speaker is clear and loud enough for me. Battery lasts 2 or 3 days. and the 1 bar takes a good 7 or 8 hours to disappear. Iv taken sum excellent photos with the cam. Bottom line is we gotta remeber that we r not buying a digicam or mps player... its a phone! And the scratch complaint - if you take care of your phone then it wont get damaged. I reali like this phone.

> In reply to Nigel Tindle @ 2008-12-18 06:28 from 0C9kYou ARE SOMEthing, mate. amazingly honest. precise. to the point. you -- indeed -- are a sharp-shooter. In an absolutely HONEST to GOD way I'm heartily appreciating your effort for this CORRECT review. I bought mine month of October. Ashamed by my own stupidity of making this purchase, couldn't even take it out of the house. And guess what? I switched the SIM card from my Nokia 8910i to this piece of junk. Some irony, huh?! Perhaps "Junk Jewelry" title suits this trashy scam the best.

This phone adds a nice extra feather to the wings of a Korean penguin. Perhaps penguins are trying/hoping to fly now. Flap-Flap! Great going Samsung, eh?

> In reply to wolfhound @ 2008-12-17 19:50 from Md%vI will speak on battery power and the speakerphone in a bit. Indeed a very smart, polished and elegant looking phone. Thin and compact to boot. The brushed metal is prone to scratching very easily. You know, those faint but evident scratches that eventually end up dulling the exterior. its my personal pet peeve. The battery life is terrible. Even on standby, it falls short. I have to make sure to charge it daily. When the battery indicator level falls to 2 bars, it quickly drops off from there. Its a bit alarming actually. The speakerphone is barely adequate...surprising for a phone this expensive. Some annoying features. The buttons on the phone don't press down enough when under pressure, especially the 4-way navigator, and so its easy to overshoot a character. The # 3 button is far too close to the 'off' or cancel button. So many of my sms text compositions are interrupted by an errant finger a few millimeters off. Thankfully, the phone prompts to ask if you want to save the sms in the drafts folder before exiting. The music player is primitive with a very very tiny interface. The speaker for the media player makes the media sound 'tinny' and garbled and the volume is inadequate. The built in camera is among the worst I've tried. It does not have autofocus and when using the LED flash, there is considerable (I mean a LOT) of lag between the time your finger snaps the button and before the shutter actually clicks. Low light or club shots hardly ever turn out because subjects will definitely move in the ridiculously long 4-5 second delay...The saving grace is the slim design and the bright colourful screen and the 'cool' factor. I've had mine a month and I'm ready to pawn it off already. Thanks for the read :)

Can this phone run more than one programme/application at a time? Can i play a game and use the internet at the same time? Does this phone have a special button that is used as a menu button ONLY?

> In reply to Dunker @ 2008-12-13 15:27 from nEXMThere are 4-5 pre-set SMS polyphonic tones. Every single one is more horrible than the next one. And you would be stuck to them. Can not change the SMS alert tone to anything else of your choice -- neither MP3 nor WAV. Nothing et al. Sorry, mate. Hands-on experience.
