This phone could've been better if this is quadband! Because 40% of motorola phones have quadband technology...

This phone is awesome!

My sony ericsson started playing up, but I really wanted another one, but decided to go for the Soul having played around with it in a shop.

The menus are similar to Sony's and are quite straightforward to use - which is obviously important when you first get your phone!

The camera is great, the screen gives a really sharp, bright image, it's quite compact compared with the SE K850i, Nokia N95 etc.

I would suggest donwloading another browser such as operamini instead of using the built in one (but i do that on all my phones).

Time will tell how good the battery life / durability is - I've heard that Samsungs are not great in this area.

Another thing I noticed is the level of customisation you can make to the phone; sensitivity of the touchpad, strength of vibrating alerts, number of times you can put your alarm onto snooze, shortcuts you want on the touchpad, as well as hundreds of camera/music/games settings. I probably haven't even realised half things you can do as I've only had the phone a few weeks.

Apparently the screen is a bit diffcult to read in direct sunlight - but living in the UK that has cropped up yet!

can someone post their light settings? mine keeps auto lighting up every one minute even with the keypad locked. i went to the samsung shop and they upgraded the system but it still happens. they couldn't do anything about the lighting up thing. i went back to where i bought my phone to exchange and the same thing happened to the two new sets they brought out. is it really my phone(batch) or my settings?

Phone is light and very sleek. I love how you can customize the theme and the phone itself has a very good amount of memory. The only bad thing about it is..it doesn't have a sound application and correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that the front camera is only used for video calling and nothing else.

> In reply to LCH @ 2008-05-30 10:42 from nEmYI wanted the U900 but am thinking of getting the LG Secret instead after a lot of bad comments about the volume of the U900. Can people who have got the secret after trying the Soul tell me what it's like in comparison.

Thanks

i dont normally think price of phone is a big deal cuz most of them are free with either a 12month contract or 18month contract here in UK.

if you're wanna get them without a contract try ebay. Just saw one "brand new in box" "unwanted upgrade" U900 graphite (with Voda-locked) sold for around £200. If you don't mind getting a mint one i'm sure you can get it around £150 after a few weeks.

Just to put it in perspective CPW are selling PAYG at £300. Good deal if you ask me :)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-05-30 06:58 from PAdKThere is, in fact, a secondary camera for video call at the front top left hand corner.

Before you post comment like this it would be wise to check the specs first.
