May i know how long does the battery life last? On average usage? Haven used samsung phone before but heard that it has poor battery life. Anyone can help clarify as the specs there didn't state how long the talktime is also. Thanks.

Great item. I finally got mine, but now i need a charger, I'm guessing samsung forgot a travel charger, so i hope the battery lasts long enough for me to find a charger. First impression was "freaking awesome". Was worth the money, and no it doesn't have a problem with the sound or volume, it can be heard very well. Now its a matter of time before i'll be posting any disadvantages.

John,
my card is a 4gig scan disk microSDHC.
i believe the part number is SDSDQ-4096-E11M and i got if from the lovely lady in the vodafone store. I have so far managed to get about 1.5gig on there so i'll let you know when/if I get past the 2gig mark, but i should imagine the phone would just not recognise the card if it wasnt supported. (in the memory settings it say's i have a maximum card storage of 3,879m)
I'm on my second day of ownership and have found that the in-call loud speaker is ok if you just notch the volume down 2 click's to avoid distortion. Oh and distortion usualy works when a speaker is being played loud so still no quiet call's for me :)
Great phone, everybody i have shown it too has been impressed with its looks, functionality and the daft little touch when the phone vibrates slightly if the touch pad is used.

Why is shopping for phones so hard? it took me 2 months to decide on a phone and i think ive made the right choice so far.

Mr H

To all the people who are complaining about the sound

First of all phones are Too bloody small to be used as a TV.

secondly use your headphones for music. its actually very loud and no one else want to listen to the music you like ..its a possibilty if your a bus and put on music

thirdly get your ears checked out if you SERIOUSLY cant hear the other person your talking to.
it depends on the signal if the signal is really good you can hear properly.

On my second handset now and still the ringing and caller volume is appalling. Great shame because lovely phone but what is the point if you cant hear it ring or hear caller clearly. Had many samsung phones and they have all been far louder.

Anyone know solution pls

yes the touch pad locks when u slide it closed. if u touch it yourself, the phone won't respond. only if you press a button will it ask if u want to unlock it.

i think depending on how lucky u are, u mite get a defective phone. mine has a loud ring tone, has a loud enough caller volume (though i'd like it louder) and it doesn't turn off after 10 mins of use. i used it for 20 mins last nite, no probs.

only thing is that the vibration is rather weak.

I've always been a Nokia or Samsung girl when it comes to phones and am liking the look of this one but the LG KF510 is a lot slimmer and it comes in red so I'm drawn to that one as well. I can't decide between the two.

Does the touchpad lock when the slider is closed?
What I mean to say is, will it start cycling through menus or dialling people randomly whilst i'm walking with it in my pocket?
