I have this phone and the call quality is just fine, Clear as a bell to be honest. I would even say it's clearer than my old phone the Samsung G800.
This is a hell of a phone and I would recommend it to anyone any time.

The headphones that come with this phone are terrible. This is an expensive phone so why do they put the nastiest, cheapest sounding quality headphones with it?
Also, they cannot disconnect from the main headphone lead! I bought a seperate Samsung headphone lead and plugged in better quality headphones. Needless to say the quality of the music is much better!

I really wanted to get this phone but after reading a lot of people saying that the sound during a call is very bad I have been put off.
If Samsung could get their act together and sort this problem out this phone would be great. Until then I won't be buying one as it's pretty important to be able to actually hear a person during a call. If not the phone is useless.
Could anyone else who has this phone post and let me know more about what the volume is like when it rings and during a call.

No it's Battery life isn't as good as the G600, In-fact it's no ware near. I've had mine 4 days now and had to charge it twice. But as I'm sure you know a true Battery life will only be achieved one the Battery has been charged fully a few times. But in comparison to when i had the G600 I would say it life isn't as good.

ringtone volume is ok,it shouldn't play too loud cos u can get hard attack sometimes,all asian phones are made like that but it's ok also like my panasonic 905i,soul's very nice and fashionable phone i would buy it

i called samsung who were TOTALLY unhelpful with the problem of caller and ring volume. "that's how the phone's set" they quoted. my views will be sent to the technicians but they also require this feedback from other users. so anyone wishing to report this problem so we can hopefully get a solution you can call samsung on 0845 7267864 (from the uk) come on somebody find a solution. I've tried to find even a code that other people mention about other samsungs but honestly i don't know where to look properly. good luck

yes, this does it all, name it: user created themes, tone (rington, message,alarm and everything)costumization, profile and connectivity (except WIFI)but this is no smart phone. The most unique of all is the design and uniqueness from other phones. This phone does not impress to be a computer wanna be but its function is awesomely well like a phone. I do not have this phone yet but i read alot from websites that describes this phone. No NOKIAs and SEs can be compared to this phone and they cannot outdo it, because of its straight forward UI (UGO and terrific/one of kind menu display). It is just of what I know/opinion of this phone and I want one

This is an all around good style phone.Although there are a few negatives.Firstly the volume during a phone call is terrible, i find it extremely hard to hear and have to put it on loudspeaker.The general volume of muisc is also very quiet.Lastly when typing a message and you press right if you press a letter on the same key and do not want to wait sometimes i find it sends the message halfway through writing a text.Other than that a top noch phone

it's nice but does it have java? some site's say it has and some say it dont
(with java i mean if it could instal .jar files for games and other stuff)
