Plus uninstall some useless system programs which keep on running in the background.
And don't use task killers... They only make the scenario worst.

There is CM7 for Vibrant which is gingerbread. They just started nightlies again after fixing the e911 bug.

I upgraded my Vibrant to FROYO and Uninstalled all T-Mobile Apps, It's running super Fast... Just love my Awesome Phone! Roms are Very Bad Always Phone Crashes!

(it has a lot of glitches like unwanted reboots when charging , bad battery back-up , sometime freezes in calls and others) but its really fast .... stock froyo 2.2 is not so bad ... but ics 4.0 alpha is too dangerous
