iam not able to send msg frm cdma sim as iam sending msg it is giving an error dat "out going restricted",. how i solve dis problem plz give answer r solution to this problem r send how to set the settings for send message,...

mobile manual shows that it supports mp4, 3gp files but phone only supporting video files of same format only which are captured by same handset. person from service centre unable to tell me about problem and changing answer every time.

It is very cheap and duffer mobile ,on this sound is return back to the speaker and create trouble to listning

Now i'd leave it here for those who may be in trouble like me.Copy JAR & JAD files to "Other" folder in MMC card.But usually you get errors while installing files larger than 400KB,do as following manual and have fun,don't forget say "Thanks"

Installation of JAVA games/ softwares on Samsung Duos is really simple and straightforward. Unlike many Samsung mobiles, you just need to place JAR and JAD files in the SAME folder of your mobile ( Other files folder of internal memory or in the memory card). Then select JAD file and select "Options/ Install". This will start the installation process.

By default, there is a limit of 400 KB for maximum JAR file size and you can't install JAR file bigger than 400 KB. If you try to install such files, you will see "JAR file is over max size" pop-up message error. To increase the maximum JAR file size limit, follow this simple procedure:

Enter this code in standby mode: *#52828378#
You will see "JAVA Test Menu" screen. Select option # 6 which is "OTA Test". Here you can see "Maximum JAR size (KB) which is 400 KB by default. Just enter your own value like 2048 KB. Press "Save" and exit from it. Now you can install JAR file of upto 2 MB size. Keep in mind that your new setting (2MB) will change back to default value (400 KB) if you RESTART your mobile. So, this is just a temporary setting but works perfectly to install large JAR files.

Note: You can set 4MB (4096 KB) limit for JAR files but it is safe to set this limit to 2MB and this 2MB limit is enough for most of JAVA softwares keeping in mind that "Games and more" JAVA folder size is only 4 MB.

hai i saw ths mobile in samsung store,bt mobile was not pretty,at da same time ths mobile is not active mode..............pls dont try push ths handset to the customers

Hey friends i am using this phone from last 6 months its a good phone you can install mly jad files and can download opera mini from zedge.net using your mobile only

I purchase this phone yesterday and I found following things in this phone : very poor sound quality in CDMA call however in GSM it is not bad, Messages received by CDMA network is not accessible through inbox when you remove your GSM SIM or disabled the GSM Network. When you enabled the GSM SIM network, messages appears again in inbox received from your CDMA network. You can't able to install other browser like Opera Mini due to some internal problem, I don't recognised, may be the phone doesn't allow other application to connect to internet other than its own in built browser. You can't use facebook mobile application in this phone because it doesn't able to connect to the internet while it is able to connect through its own in built browser. And most of all this phone is Java enabled but it doesn't allow you to install a java program that is more than 400 KB Size, very sad, we can't able to install our favorite program in this phone which is more than 400KB in size. And one thing if you try to install any java(using .jar and .jad file) program, it goes directly to Application > Games and More folders, i.e. we if we install a facebook application it goes to Games folder and we know it is not a game application, there is no customization installation to define where we want to place install application. Back panel handling is very very poor can breakdown easily, don't expect to change your SIM and Memory card frequently because of poor build quality back panel can easily get breakdown on frquently opening and closing. Headphone quality is very poor, a very roadside 20 RS quality, Charging and ear phone port is same and not easy to find out.

when i downloaded opera mini version 4.4 in samsung duos w169, it doesn't installed
just say "failed to connect to the internet ?

Whenever i am trying to block unwanted sms, block numbr option is not working in this handset. Path - Settings -> Application -> Messages -> Text Messages -> Block number.
Please suggest how to block unwanted sms.

I am using this phone from the last 5 months. Except that we can not play videos on this mobile everything seems to work good. I read most of them saying problem with CDMA 5-6 mins but i dont think sooo.. I will make calls daily for 30-40 mins and i didnt get problem with this...CDMA-GSM combination lovers please go with this mobile... i am sure you will like it...
