all you need to do is to slide it to open the back lid and change the battery and the sim card..it's that easy:)...(slide it upwards)

Plz check the specification, IrDA port is for only to transfer phonebook contacts. There is no use of it for other purposes.
Thank u & thank God I don't use samsung phones...having fun with my Sony Ericsson K800i.
