Hey Pedro--you seem to know alot about this phone do you think you could e-mail me sometime so i can learn more. I already have the phone buht i need some help. How do i get ringtones on here. And i know i need a cord to upload the pictures from the phone to the computer buht where do i get the cord. Just e-mail me wen you get the chance. Thanks alot. =]

hi anyone knows how to set polytones as ringtones? do you have to save it and convert as a midi before you can use it as your ringtones? can you not set it as polytones format instead of midi? your answers will be highly appreciated. thanks!

yeah why not?you can assign it as photo caller ID to anyone in your phonebook,anytime,anywhere.i cannot see why not.you can,just go to your friends number in your phonebook,click OK to that name and click OPTION and there ayou go,assign whatever you want in there from ringtone ID,group,and even inserting their pic!(but take their photo first.lol)

and true tone is like the sound of cat meowing,baby crying,laughing,or something like that.somebody told me.its not mp3.and the file is much smaller.

1 thing i regret about this stylish phone is that it doesnt come with memory card slot.(wish after this,Samsung will create more phones with memory stick card or at least bigger memory capasity)overall,this phone rocks!dot hesitate to get it if you want it coz it never give you a hard time.very smooth and full of elegance!

So, my battery is not good enought, I guess. My battery charges in just 1 hour and it lasts for 2 or 3 days! I have to go back where I bought it to check what's the problem, if the baterry or the phone itself.

I think E700 and X460 are very similar to X640. If I was you I would download that games anyway... if them work that's good, if not, delete them.

I don't know what do you mean about "True tone" but you can ONLY upload file types like mid or mmf. Anyway you'll need a cable and the software in adition.

As a mmf. file you can get songs with people singing, anything you want but with very low quality... I do mean, the sound is loud but with a lot of noise... very below to MP3 in quality.

Ok,i'm going to asnwer your question.I have this phone for already 1 and 1/2 months and it's cool!

The battery life is very adorable!! It last long.My battesry usually last about 4 to 5 days untill i have to charge it all over again.considering that i'm an phone addict(i cant live without my pohone for even a day!!)i play the game in there alot,sms alot and talk alot.but the battery life is awesome!(for my phone,i dont know how about yours..)

i usually charge it for 3 hours.3 hours direct every 3 or 4 days.

ok,i wanna know something:

what other Samsung models that very much similiar to X640? i want to download Java games but my X640 doesnt include in the list of able-download phones.but in the list the got X460.IS X460 is similiar to X640?please help..


and is it true that True tone is able to X640??true tone is like MP3 rite?i'm not sure about that,please help me explain..


and 1 more thing,to clear the matter out,This phone is NOT compatible to take video.that's for sure.(but it doesnt matter,to me!)

It's a good phone im quite dissapointed that it doesn't have video clips or nothing! i bought the phone about 1 month ago you can have real tones as your ringtone but i want to know when did this phone come out ??

With a moderate use my battery lasts only 2 or 3 days.

May be I'm not a honnest person at all... but this phone doesn't make any videos. You can't put also a wave file on it? You only can use midi and mmf files as ringtones.
Someone can ask me too about my questions? About how many days your battery holds?

i'd Realy want to know from a honnest person... does this phone make any videos? i mean, one site sais yes the other one sais no.. im all confused here. and can i put any .wav -s on it? like as a ringtone an all... you know copy a small fragment of a song onto it so it would sound with al the efects and the voice.. bla bla, you know what i mean. and um... i think that's like all i'd like to know... and i'd Really appreciate it if someone honnest would help me with this

Hi folks. The cable you need is the model PCB133LBE and the software (you will need it or else you can't do anything) you can find it at Samsung web page. Unfortunately there's a mistake: the PIM & File Manager 2.0 doesn't work!! It's the most important file! How I solve the problem? I download the version 1.0 from the software of the E700 and everyting works so fine now. You can transfered sound files (mid, mmf,...) and pictures (jpg, gif,...) form your PC to your phone and vice-versa. You can set a diferent wallpaper, I chose a animated one (the matrix code) and you can also chose a different ringtone for each contact you have at your adress book. Unfortunately you can't use an image tranfered from you PC or sent it by MMS as a caller ID. It is just possible using your own photos taked by your phone. Many shops are selling this model unlocked and this model has tri-band. You can use it in all countries around the world. You can record a simple conversation with no limit in time (just in memory) or a phone call. The file type is arm. But unfortunately you cannot use this file as a ring tone (the file type arm is not allowed as a ring tone). You cannot also transfer this file to you computer directly. You can send it by MMS or EMS to your e-mail for example. Good things: the phone has a very good design, is small, lightweigh and strong, you can drop it on the floor... it won't break so easily. The voice is clear and the pics are fine. It has all the primary functions you need as a phone. Bas things: the battery needs to be charged almost every day (I'm not sure if it is a problem of my phone or if my battery is old), there's no infra-red port and nor bluetooth. Some people complains about the absence of an external display and some other people complains because you can't disable the mission accomplished tone (every time you send a SMS or you do a stupid thing) but you can enable the silent mode (pressing #). My rating is 4 stars from 5. I hope have been useful. Bye

i heard that my friend got x640 n said that can record voice, i wonder what type of file its used? so that can convert a song into a realtone!though im not a x640 user hope someone can help me! thnz!

Hi syu!! u seemed very familiar with this model.I just bought it last week,and yes!I don't regret it....hehe...well i still need more time to find out more about this model..actually,i choose this model not because of the feature but branding...but after couple of days i use it,its more than i thougth..great!40poly is enough for me..but can voice recorder be my ring tone?because my friend use the same model but can use real tone...its true!Hmmm...if u have any new thing to share kindly email me(kneepah@yahoo.com)..
