this phone DOES NOT have video.one thing for sure because i already got it for almost a month.and YES,the camera is able to zoom 4 times and the picture is totally perfect and sharp!that's the feature i love about samsung.you dont have to but anothe digi cam because X640 perform very well.
and YES,it has only 1 color LED,that is BLUE.The specf. that tell you guys it has 7 colors or whatsoever is crap.clear?
whatelse?about playing the realtone,i myself not sure about that.
and melody composer,i think thie phone doesnt have this ability because as far as i concern,i never come across any tones composer in my Tone Setting menu,i assume it doeant have it.dont worry,i'll give you 1 site that you can download all poly tones just for free!and my tones file now,had already 50 songs!!(and i had deleted some crap preset song samsung provide.it sounds suck!)
overall,despite all the good and bad of this phones,i still rate this phone as NUMBER 1!!! because it's very user friendly.and elegance.
i only regret it doesnt come with flash card slot or at least a little bit bigger memory capasity.overall,i give it 9/10!!

if you think you wanna but this phone,go ahead,its not as bad as you think.and no,mine doesnt hang.it works well.
i give hint if you wanna buy.make sure it is ORIGINAL and have the FMG sticker at the back of the baterry.FMG guarentee that its ORI.(FMG is First Group Mobile,based in KOREA)
and try click *#06# at the phone keypad to make sure its ORI,because when you click that number and click 'call',you'll see your phone IMEI NUMBER appear.it's like serial number.
when you buy,please try insist for the FMG sticker.good luck!!give it a try! very nice and well built as well as affordable!! =)

This phone has only Blue Led on it's cover, not 7 color LED.

There seems to be 2 versions of this phone with different specs but the same model number. Sometimes with camera zoom and sometimes with video. The one I got does not have either. Check first!

64 MB,i mean 68 KB.
and so to 16MB.its 16 KB.
how can your picture size be 68MB when the actually memory capasity is only 10MB!! haha! =)

i read all the opinions too when i first wanted to buy this phone and i'm glad i have no retret buying it.
as fir your question,i THINK this mobile doesnt have any video function(and if it does have,i dont think i can find the video button setting anywhere on this phone)-so i assume it doenst have video.
and i also would like to respond to ques if this phone got 7 colors Led in the front side.i think the info was wrong.i only has blue color laser look alike that keep bleeping every 5 seconds.and my guess that it has 7 colors is that the TFT screen is made by 7 combination of colors.thats it.(if i dont get it wrong,somebody told me so) =)
anyone can help me with USB port thinggy?how do i transfer picture?rite now i've been emailing it but it seems like it cost you dollars if you have many pic to be sent.
and to Imran,i think my phones already hv about 40 pictures in the album.all you do is just change the picture size in camera setting.change it to small pixel since it'll provide more space for other pictures too.of course if you take 65MB picture everytime you shoot,for sure you'll have space for only 10 pics.switch to 7MB or 16MB size per pic.besides,your pic'll blur and perform below your expectation once you transfer your pic to computer to be printed or etc coz its too big.
i think 16 MB suit best be it in your phones or PC.

Before I buy this phone I read all opinions for X640. It has 10MB memory but it takes only 10 pictures.
1. my question is that 10MB memory is good but picture we only can take 10. other cell phone has 10MB memory gives around 50+ pictures!
2. Can we make video? I think X640 has the video facility also.

you can choose whether you want your phone to be automatically answered once you open the sheel or press any key befor you answer,whatever.its up to you.just go to Phone setting and change it.
i love this phone very much.its very elegance.once,there was my friend approached me and ask where did i get my phone.she even ask if it cost thousands?!! wow!! i asked her back does this phone seem to cost you that much grand??? (the truth is,it just cost me USD200 only!!! haha!!and black always win in every way! and this time,it's very elegance and sophisticated!! i never regret buying it..even it doenst have blutooth and infrared,i dont see there's a need to hv all those stuff.they're just for transferring songs,pic,tones.that's all!

Good – Fast, small size, Zoom 8x, speaker, ring tones, TFT screen.
Bad – No Bluetooth, Memory slot, While zooming its very clear but when u save the pics its not so clear as u zoomed it.
Hands free, data cable are not included with the phone.

i was thinking of buying this phone but i noticed that it doesnt have an outer display. How do i know who's calling before i answer the phone ?? once u open the phone do u have to press a button to answer a call or do u automaticly answer ?? ....

That's a really nice phone. I particulary enjoy its design and it is also a very small and lighweight phone. I can use it easily in my pocket! This phone is very elegant and it has a lot of fuctions to a mid-price phone, the cam is good and you can make videos, the sound is clear and the display is outstanding! Unfortunately there's no an infrared nor a bluetooth port. If you would like to connect this phone to you computer to transfer photos, wallpapers and sounds you have to buy a USB cable in addition. The absence of this feature makes, for example, the photo transmission a very difficult task! Ok, you can send you photos by MMS to your own e-mail but it is a waste of money!
Some people denied this phone because there's no an external display. It is useful because you can see easily who is calling you, what time is it... etc but if you can live with all that, it would be a nice choice. In fact, I don't need an external display that much!

Im thinking about getting this phone. Buht im not sure if the network is good for my area. Does anyone that has this phone from the US rather than the UK. If someone does have it from the US-does it have good service? i really want to know so can anyone that knows help me. =D thanks.
