I tried some versions of PC Studio 2 PIMS, but only the 05-01-2006 version works for me.
The lastest version (24-02-2006) doesn't works...
The file name is "20060105..._PIMS_File_Manager.exe", but I don't know if you can download it again.

Oh no..!
I bought X-660 last month and wanted to down-load and up-load pictures and ringtones -- but it never happened! X-660 was recognized by the infra red adapter but it can not transfer! I use the PIMS II sofware from SAMSUNG.com but the software didn't work..
Please someone from SAMSUNG fix the sofware..
(just wondering why SAMSUNG released this beautiful phone withouit fixing the firmware??

hey, i just bought this phone last week and it has just one ringing tone. how do i upload more tones and mp3? i dont understand what u've explained before about downloading a program etc? and how can i upload/download pictures only using the infrared port if i dont have the usb cable.?

You can upload contents from pc to phone my selecting the "down contents" of your phone then select what content where you want to transfer your content. Example select "sound"if you want to upload ringtones to your phone from pc or picture or videos. The up arrow will be activated as soon as you click the "download content button". If you want to download contents from phone to pc then click "My contents button" and down arrow will be activated.

Where is the USB port? Down - where you charge the phone???????? Pls help me! I have only 1 ringtone and i've no way to have more! My only hope is the USB!

Samsung PIMS & File Manager don't find my IrDA Adapter (?)... I installed this http://www.ircomm2k.de/ that emulates a virtual COM Port. I connected my X660: I downloaded some pictures and some video from phone to computer, but I can't upload nothing fron pc to phone, Why?

Today I bought a IrDA usb adapter: I installed it, then I installed Samsung PIMS File Manager. I tried to connect the X660, but Windows detect the X660 as a new hardware and ask me the driver to continue. Can You help me?!

Yes you can save your sms and contacts to your computer by clicking the backup icon on your software. Still yes, you can transfer your photo, images and sounds to your pc by clicking "my contents" on your software then choose the arrow down to transfer your contents to your pc and take note you must make a new folder on your computer to transfer your contents from the phone so that it would be very easily to find where you download or save it.

With IRDA ADAPTER can I save phone book and sms on pc, and write sms with pc keyboard? Can I transfer images and sounds to phone and vice versa?

Hy! I bought this phone a couple of days ago and i received a usb cable for D500 with it. I installed the latest software, Samsung PC Studio II 2.0 PIMS & File Manager, downloaded from the samsung official site, but it does not "see" my phone and i can't upload or download anything. Could anyone guide me pls? alex29987@yahoo.com

u can use an IRDA ADAPTER for making the transfers with it infra red port
but the phone has also an usb port
that lets u use it with a pc data cable
the cable is different than the one for your S300
and if you want here is the reference for the new data cable : PCB113BDEC/STD
(it's the same cable as the one needed for the SGH-D500 if u are going to but it it is easier i think for the seller to know the D500 cable :P)

I downloaded and installed "20060105110121984_PIMS_File_Manager.exe" (SGH-X660 Samsung PC Studio PIMS - PC Link Software), but the X660 is not found by software with the S300 cable :(
Is it absolutely necessary an IrDA-USB adapter?

for the cable i don't think u can see the needed cable in the samsung official site

there is the software from samsung site (free)
samsung pc studio II u'll find all the programs in this page just choose your phone and u'll get all the software (downloadable for free)
