ta-run: i was also in the same dilemma, but i have chosen x660 because of its design. other thing is that nokia has nothing more to offer, it has the very same specifications with a bit higher price. but nokias infra will probably be more compatibile and there is not the 95K limit, i think. x660 doesnt have mp3 playback, but u can have mp3 as a ring tone.
phoney: size is restricted to 95kb and it is enough for mms, but not enough for downloading.
infra is problem on this phone, because u can only share contacts with another phone, to download some stuff, u have to try it with pc.
uploading mp3s should work with pc and to know what is the limit - try to read some previous opinions ;)

you have to compress the mp3 song to 300-600 kb so that you can still have a full and complete length of the song. So when if u are to shorten the mp3 song to make an mp3 song clip, you can still attain a 40 second mp3 ringtone which is wholly satisfactory.

why should u convert the mp3 to 300-600 while the phone accepts u to 100 kb which is really useless?
is there any way to expand it up to 300-600 u mean?

Well, I believe, the reason behind this is that normaly you don't have to listen the whole mp3 song before you answer your phone otherwise you will have a missed call. For me, an mp3 song clip is enough for me to have as a ring tone, caller group and alarm tone. You can only put below 100 kb of mp3 or aac song clips to your phone in order to be accepted, midi and mmf tones are accepted.
All you have to do is to compress the mp3 song from normally 3-6 mb to 300-600 kb. To do this you have to download the dBpowerAMP Music Converter and to edit the song, you have to download the Adobe Audition 1.5 from the internet for free trials only.

and that is the worst thing about the X660. "you have to shorten the size of the song." why did they put such a limit in it? please, tell me, there will be some new soft for the phone. please!

yes, infra red really works, both on connecting to your PC and to other phones. You can have the option in your phone settings.
This phone has one of the latest software on samsung phones. It is fast and effecient plus there are lot of options added in customizing your phone, dialling or sending mms, stuffed like that. I like the quality of the camera though, it is a vga, You can put composed mp3 tone for your alarm and ringtone alert though you have to shorten the size of the song cause it will not accept a full length mp3 song.

Hi there, got this phone not long, overall still ok, but to my horror, it has a upload file limit of 95kb...which is very very small. Called up samsung and asked why this info isn't publish, they couldn't give me an answer.
