Plz usman tells me that there is any method to recover my jpeg files which was store in the phone memory not in the memory card.

Also tells me how i use operamini om my x700 samsung.bcz i install but it gives me the error after performing 6 test...failed to connect on internet.

Hi guys, this is my personal experience with the Samsung X700 phone.
First the good features
+ Great bright display
+ Good camera pics (for a 1.3 mpixel one)
+ Stereo Speakers
+ EDGE (used as a modem for my computer. close to broadband speed;later switched to fixed broadband connection with their modem)
+ Bluetooth (uses all the time)
+ FM radio (have to connect headset)
+ Memory card (64 mb card included) can directly transfer data from PC using USB cable (hot swappable, can be removed without switching off the phone)
+ USB charging (very useful when used as a modem)
+ Video recording (3gp format,QCIF size).
+ One password protection for all files (all files are locked;only phonebook can be accessed)

Now some not so good things
- MP3 player/video player cannot be minimized; though FM radio can be minimized.
- Speakers not that loud; but great sound with headset, headset is not the usual 3.5mmjack but a flat connecter with its own slot with sliding cover in the phone.
- No night mode or flash for the camera.
- Images cannot be viewed in fullscreen or zoomed only photos taken using the phone camera can be zoomed.
- Javaworld applications/games can be installed through internet/wap only(officially).
- Theme change not supported; can select from 4 skin colours for the default theme.

The phone worked great for few months
Never hanged or restarted (still proud of it). The only problem is with the javaworld. First i installed about 10 applications, using the official method (wap)and also unofficial (usb cable) method. Played the games and browsed used the Opera browser. After about 6 months the games started to exit while playing then sometimes restarts. So i first deleted games one by one; still the problem exists
deleted opera as well. after few days i cannot even enter the Javaworld . the dancing clown comes and hangs and phone automatically restarts. I have tried a full reset. but it doesn't cleared the Javaworld

Now i cannot use my Javaworld games or applications.
And one more problem- with the phone's internal memory. it is lower than it should be i.e. 31mb (35mb minus 4mb of Javaworld)
it shows around 22mb now. i think it is the temp files from the Javaworld applications
I have cleared the cache of the built in browser, deleted all files and done full memory reset, still the memory size is low.
Searched the net and tried various codes
still no luck. (doesn't want to flash the firmware; it is still usable it is as solid as when i bought it)
I have come across these two problems only
I still consider this as one of the best phones i have used.

This is my experience after 2 years with this phone.

2.sometimes 2 to 3 white horizontal line are disturbing my screen while playing games ,watching video, while taking snap., why is it so ?

nishikant. i face the same problem with you, if you open the blank screen, the line show up and it get worst. first i thougt, my phone was soaked by water. i think this the negative point from samsung

3.also i am using 512mb microsd card. while pasting my phone data to my pc. or from pc to phone i got virus in my card.now its affecting my mamory card i mean its creating extra folder.exe whenever i use mass storage. whatever folders is there in my mamory card that virus create extra exe file in each folder measuring siz of 284kb each.and its increasing...
if u have any anti-virus soft. for x-700 which will destoy the visrus please tell me

Hey

I am avide user of Samsung x 700 from the day it was launched. now about 3 years i am using and its started aging. LCD started showing earing off signs and BAttery is almost dead.

Need to upgarde. Need suggestions
REquirements
1) SMS, GPRS, EMAIL, and Music is must.
2) Games and applications sld be easy to install. with loads of capacity
3) Price sld be easy not high.

So suggest any brand and style.

You need to changed your microSD card to Sandisk 1 GB. I also had the same problem when I use Toshiba microSD. So far, Sandisk works very well in my X-700 (no problems yet).

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my X700, it doesn't recognize my MicroSD card.
When I insert the card, it says "memory card placed", flashes the card icon in the top right corner, but then it disappears and I cannot find the card anywhere in the menus.
The card is apparently a Toshiba card: SD-C01G.
It works perfectly in my pc, but not in my phone. I reformatted it already (FAT) in my pc, but that doesn't help.

I have a problem with my x700 phone ... when i'm trying to download a song or anything else by wap it appears: "to large content to download" if the song is larger than 1mb! Why is so? ... because I have at least 10mb free phone memory and a microSD which is also almoust empty! pls help
