Many thanks to USMAN for the help.
Hi,
Can anyone please tell me if I can access the internet from my PC through this mobile?
Ram
To Muhammad Jameel:
Open your wap browser of X700 and type this address : http://wap.getjar.com
Now go to “Samsung SGH X700 Software” link.... Till now, there are 892 softwares/ games available for X700.... Just click on any software's link.... and there is no need to worry about jad/jar files..... You will see a new page for your desired software.... You can see the file size of software in KB.... Click “Download to mobile” link.... This will download and install the software into your X700 directly.....

To Atanas :
You must use GPRS connection to access internet using Java server .... It means that you are still unable to use any java application which requires internet access!.... Can you see “G” logo in red colour when using wap? If yes, then you are using GPRS connection.....
There is no way to use X700 in plane mode .... or even if there is any code then i don't know....
opera mini cannot open web pages which are on your “other files” folder.... since it can open any web page present on internet!
To read text files on any java enabled phone, Here are some informative links:

USMAN,
I have two other questions.
1] Is there any way for using your phone x700 without GSM connection (so called "plane mode") and only listening music for example?
2] Is there any program or something that can read txt or other text formats on X700??? (java) And can OperaMini open HTML on the phone momory (would be very useful).
Thank you again.
USMAN,
Thank you for your advices, but my Operamini doesn't work.
I noticed that I'm using WAP by CSD connection (using GSM only method, not GPRS). This is becouse my provider made my net settings so. In fact I noticed that GPRS internet is separate provider service.
I don't know why they told me that there is no problem. Probably they don't know that I'm not using GPRS for my connection. And most probably JAVA can't connect through GSM (by dailing numbers), but only through GPRS.
What do you think? Do you find this logical?
@Usman!
" I am using WAP gprs connection to download games into my X700!"
Sir, I also have the GPRS connection. Can u tell me where u upload ur game/java software files and which files u upload.. Like .jad or .jar or both of them??
To Atanas :
Your X700's java server is not configured correctly..... Just follow these steps:
1.Go to java world .... settings and turn proxy “Enable” and enter APN .... if your service provider gave you login ID / Password for java server then enter these..... otherwise leave these blank.....
2. Now go to proxy settings and enter IP address of your service provider..... also enter port number ( i have port 8080.... your's may be different according to service provider....)
3.Now click “save” and then “save” again.... and start Opera Mini ..... This will work now!....
Note: You can check these settings by going to.... wap browser....profile settings....select your wap profile
then go to GPRS Settings.... Now you can confirm IP Address, port number, APN , login ID/ Password....
Write these values into your java server settings.....
Please reply if you still have problem using opera mini..... thanks!

To Muhammad Jameel:
For installing softwares through usb cable, read previous posts of “hill” on 2006-06-27 at 13:32 and
2006-06-20 at 20:51……. These are the downloading links of both the required softwares:
http://users.skynet.be/yozy/tutorials/downloads/SoftickPPP221.exe
http://users.skynet.be/yozy/tutorials/downloads/Uploader.exe
Here is the link for detailed guide:
http://users.skynet.be/yozy/tutorials/d500-6.htm
Note that D500 and X700 both have have same installing process…. So, it also works on X700…. But i am still unsuccessful to install games through usb cable due to unknown reason because X700 restarts every time when last step reaches.... There is one person named “hill” who have successfully do this.... Please contact him at “lokp0@cooltoad.com”
I am using WAP gprs connection to download games into my X700!

(To Ahsan Raza Khan):
u CAN install applications/softwares/games on this phone... for more information... search previous posts abt 'installing', 'java', 'software', 'games'...
(To Muhammad Jameel):
hi..sir u can install applications to ur X700 if u upload '.jad' file instead of '.jar' file.. u can verify this by going to wap.getjar.com from the default phone browser then pick the software u want to install and install it..
(if u still cant..let us know...)
u can (sort of) minimize the default web browser by pressing '#' key.. u'll see 'Options' menu having 'Go to URL', 'Bookmarks', 'Messages' & 'File Manager'... however u cannot minimize the mp3 player...
Well I had the same problem with "installation of java apps". And as I could see, it works with WAP. Just download the app from WAP and it will be installed automatically after the downloading.
I don't know if there is a possibility for installing trough USB.
""usman please give me detailed info on how to install java apps and games using the usb cable which comes with the cell phone pack..
i will be very much thank ful to u"
Sir usman I am repeating my question.. Please do reply as I am in need of ur guidance! I hope u dont mind me repeating my question because u didnt reply to it last time. Hope u will do now!
USMAN,
Thank you a lot for the instructions.
But I have serious problem:
When I installed OperaMini and when I'm trying to "test my connection" it shows "You do not have working connection..."
But I have working WAP profile + I called my operator and I typed the APN in JavaWorld/Settings. Also I typed DNS1 and DNS2, after trying with proxyIP and port (I'm tolking about JavaWorld/Settings).
Nothing helps. The operator tells me that the working WAP and APN is the only important things and it should work.
I suggest my Java doesn't use WAP profile or something like that.
What do you thing man?
Thank you in advance.
To MIK:
Also the D600 is about 2 or 3 times more louder in speakers than X700.... But with maximum volume, D600's speakers loses some quality.... while in X700, the maximum volume with speakers maintains the sound quality!
( USMAN )
To MIK:
For camera quality, X700 is much better than SE W550i since both have 1.3MP camera....After transferring pics to pc, images taken with X700 looks more clear and gives more details than W550i..... but for sound quality, definitely W550i is the leader!.... having better playback options than X700!....

usman please give me detailed info on how to install java apps and games using the usb cable which comes with the cell phone pack..

To Atanas:
When call is connected, enter this code “#*22671# this will start the recording.... to stop recording, enter “#*22672#”.....
To record FM programs, turn on radio.... select radio channel .... minimize it .... now enter above codes.... There is same codes for both call recording and FM radio recordings..... For more info, please read my previous posts on 2 september 2006 and 13 september 2006....
To install Opera Mini on X700, use wap gprs connection.... contact your service provider to activate GPRS connection..... Then open your wap browser and type this address : http://wap.getjar.com .... When page is loaded then enter this quick download code in text box: 4122 ..... Then you can download this on your X700....It has file size less than 100KB .... Your service provider will charge for browsing / downloading .....
