Man I love my Samsung Z170 - for the price it is exlent. quick bluetooth stable. love it.

im gonna buy dis fone next week but is it really good? i like that its thin but is the internet fast and the camera, does it have a good quality and the sound quality of music, is it great? reaply anyone ASAP

i bought this fone yesterday and i bought a 2gb memory card and it reads perfect i have 9 songs and can still fit more on my phone memory and the sound as clear as you would would expect my phone was only $79 ozzy money of course and the fone has no problems with bein slow or anything like that i think thta it is a great fone

yes you can charge it when attached to PC via USB.

sms storage is huge - now i have over 200 messages in inbox and over 160 in outbox.

i bought this phone last august 5,after more than 1 month i found this phone great,i love the color of it,i have the silver one..the cam is clear and the sounds,just fine..the effect of dialling number is amazing..astig!!this will be my phone for a long time..its thin and very light,,its very handy..buy it..i have no regrets buying it..

Hello guys! I bought my Z170 last September 9, 2008. It's great! I have never encountered any problem so far. The phone functions well and I am able to use it to connect my PC to the internet. For those who complain about the phone... I think all you need to do is read the manual and have a little common sense...

yes andrei you can lock the keypad while the media player is running. Just activate the "Auto Keypad Lock" in the phone settings.

hi! im using a samsung SGH-Z170 mobile phone
i tried every step to configure its settings so i can send emails via this phone to other email addresses but i get the message "DNS failed"

what does it mean?
heres my settings, pls tell me if theyre correct:

Account name: ACCOUNT 1

SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com

SMTP port: 587

Use SSL: *checked/ticked*

Email retrieval server type: POP3

POP3 server: pop.gmail.com

POP3 port: 995

Use SSL: *checked/ticked*

Retrieving option: SUBJECT ONLY

Keep on server: *checked/ticked*

My address: *my mail address*

Username: *my mail address*

Password: *my email's password*

Use POP before SMTP authentication: *checked/ticked*

Use SMTP authentication: *checked/ticked*

Username: *my mail address*

Password: *my email's password*

hello. can somebody help me with the video call. i bought this z 170. do you have to let it be activated at a samsung service center before you can use the video call?

HELLO guys, I have a problem with my 1 day old Samsung z170. These are the two problems:

1. When I tried to create Groups list in the Phonebook, I said it saved but there's no group name appearing in the groups list. Only the "blank" text appears. Then if I retyped the group name to save(even though I can't see it) then the phone will prompt:
"Name Already in Use". But still I see nothing in the group list except the "blank" text. You this feature is quite important for me coz I often forward one text message to group of people that I've categorized.

2. Why does the keytone: xylephone and beep where the same. This really makes the phone noisy when upon use. I try the silent mode(and the keytone was disable) but it was impractical in different situation since there's no message/call tone if I used this profile.
