Can someone tell me how to send a picture from my phone to my email address i have tried and it says settings must be defined do i send it via mms or bluetooth - help confused. Jackie

The only difference between the Z500 & Z500V is the software. Vodaphone put their own branded (really crappy) software on the phone and called it Z500V. All the functions are the same so don't panic! Cheers. :-)

No, you've got the sam e phone, just a Vodafone model. But I still haven't found out what's the difference between them.

Hi,
I see everyone is commenting about Z500, but Z500V is quoted on my phone package. This makes me scared that I bought a wrong phone.
Does anybody knows if there is a different between "Z500" and "Z500V".
By the way, I'm a samsung customer from South Africa.

Just bought the phone yesterday. And so far, no complaints. Just today, in the middle of a busy street, I called a friend and the first thing she said was "I hear you, no need to shout!" I was like ??? and said where I was. She paused and said she can't even hear the cars. :D I've been through the menus back and forth, everything works. Haven't tried linking to anything via anything yet, don't have the time now.
Just one q: I may not have stumbled upon it, but I'm not sure even if it's possible... Does someone know if I cange the open/close sound? Thx!

Bunnx - with regards to the Bluetooth you need to make sure that your Bluetooth visibility is set to on and the default setting is to make your phone invisible

im also facing the same problem as gary. whenever i use wallpaper of my own, the wallpaper only fills up about three quarter of the screen.
Above the the time and date, there is a white empty patch.
Anyone knows how to make the wallpaper full screen?

I found a way to upload Java apps. & games onto the z500!
Go to http://www.community24.net/ota.php on your PC.You can upload your .jar file there and it will give you a URL that you can type into your phone's browser to download that game! Simple.
Many new phones bar you from uploading Java software via cable/Bluetooth - they want to cut down on piracy.So your phone can only reveive games etc. via internet.
Here is a geat website with over 400 FREE java games and programs for the z500 http://www.getjar.com/software/SGH_Z500/ You can browse this on your PC and when you see a game you want, you click on it and it will give you a code you type in when browsing wap.GetJar.com (click on quick download).

You need a program called Samsung PC Studio (personally i use 2.0.9),google for a place to *buy* it,from there on its easy it doesnt requre any other set-up,good luck with it,cheers

hi
love this little phone, have swapped to 2g and battery much better,
how do you get photos onto computer, or print them.
Never wanted to do this before but have some really nice pics
