You cannot change the battery life now that you have done the first charge.
I called vodafone and they wont send out a new battery as they 'have had no complaints'...

yeah i have also had problems with the battery and so has my mum. its interesting that somebody has said the first charge has to be for 12hours as I only got instructed to charge for 2 hours - is there anything i can do to improve the battery life now - my 3g is off.do you think i should just get a new battery like somebody else did?apart from this the phone is good!!

Does anybody know how to turn GPRS off? Ive had a look but cant work out how.

I just rang vodafone and they said that turning gprs off on your phone makes the battery last longer too- and i hardly use the wap so turning gprs wont affect me, and when i want to go on wap i will just turn it on.

1. Turn your phone off of 3G if you dont use video calls- battery life will last MUCH longer.
2. When you first get the phone you have to do the FIRST charge for 12-14hours, otherwise the phone will never charge fully- will only charge to like 60% everytime.
I turn 3G off, and did a 12hour charge and the battery is ok, until I watch TV or listen to mp3's then it dies fast.
So it has a bad battery, but if you do the two things I said then it will last longer.

This phones batt life is so bad im lucky if i get a day's life outta it ive never had a phone like it before and i also got told that its only gotta 1 mega pixel not a 1.3 mega pixel camera.

Hi,
everytime I switch on Bluetooth on my z500 a message pops up saying "no bluetooth address! Set the BD address or it will do the wrong action"
does anybody know how to fix this problem ?

So many features drain the battery. Interestingly I phoned Vodafone and complained about the battery and they sent me a new one out not one from the phone box and it seems to have more life in it

Why is the battery life so short the phone only lasts a day and a half. I not the only one who has this problem i have some friends who are having the same problem please help with any tips

Why would you want it to use wav? thats a very old and large file size format, use mp3s.
To transfer either stick your micro sd into the sd converted and then into an sd card reader, or use the samsung pc studio that came with the phone along with the data cable that also came with the phone

1. The card is fully concealed by the phone.
2. This is a very good phone and i havent had any problems with it- check out the voting results for it.. all 8+
3. Anybody know where i can get a 1gb mirco sd card from?

Hey Everyone,
After seeing all the coments about the samsung Z500 i dont think i will get it. Can anyone suggest a good phone (prefered flip phone) with a good camera, and of course works well? I need help quickly, because i have to chose a phone in a week! someone help me! Oh, and i was also looking at the E720 and the S500i? any thoughts?

I do not see why there is all this negative feedback.
I got the phone yesterday and have been very impressed by it so far: it looks awesome (if you get the black version on vodafone) its solid and works well, the mp3 player is good, and its very nicer overall.
My only problems with it so far are:
It comes with 5 games, but all are demos- so you can only play the first levels of them.
Memory cards seem hard to find- can anybody give me a link to a site where i can buy a 1gb+ micro sd card?- biggest i can find is a 512mb.
Can you set an mp3 as a ringtone?- ive have a look but i dont think you can for some reason.
