I've had my phone for a while with no problems but lately in two separate occasions when I've received a message the phone has kept freezing. The only way i can fix this problem was to insert another sim in and delete he message quickly before it freezes. Now it has done it again and nothing i do is working, theres no new messages and it just keeps freezing when i turn it on. I've tried connecting it to the charger and the computer to see if it works.
I need some help i have a lot of photos on here i want to save.
Someone suggested getting a new battery, should i?
My sister also had this problem in her z510 but it would always be fine after she turned it off and on.

I have this phone for 2 years, the design is the best.I'v read other posts. The phone battery lasts 4 days, sound ok(I use the vibration in the moast cases), it can be a good mp3 player or a video player(with a microSD, form more space), makes good photos( for 1Mpx Cammera ).It hadles very good 2 or 3 calls at the same time. The agenda has lot's of options, the only problem is slow loading the agenda after a restart. One problem is that java apps can only be donloaded from the net. Bluetooth is managed very good, it offers information about transfer and has a good scurity. The calendar option is ok for a bussinees people.
Tricks for best use:
-for mp3,acc,mp4,3pg use a microSD, is faster to load from a card reader
-change the phone passord, in some cases the phone restars and can clean all the agenda records
-form more battery time, the phone can be charged by usb, if the 3G is not used it si better to select manualy the GSM frequancy
-allways clean the bluetooth contacts

Hi, I have the Samsung Z500, for 22 months now, can't wait to upgrade to a new phone. Although it is a lovely small phone, the sound is very soft, the battery need to be charged every day. When I try to upload my sms and mms to my pc I could not do that. After contacting our Samsung Office, they told me this phone has a problem with the sound, the battery and could not upload messages to the pc! Great! Wish someone from Samsung could phone me and give me a new phone for free with sound, good battery life and one that could upload messages to my pc. Other wise I could not complain!!

My friend owns that phone and it was good that i wish I want one. when i wwent to every phone store, they told me that they don;t sell them anymore.

i ve been using this phone for 2 years!
everything is absolutely perfect. the menu, the usability, the looks... everything!
only 2 problems: when it rings via mp3, the sound isn't good and the battery is always dead. oh, and the conectivity with the pc very very easy and quick.

I had a Z500 for over two years now,believe me its COLLECTORS ITEM simply because it was the first smallest 3G phone.unfortunately my preciouse phone decided to stop functioning few weeks back,does anyone got an idea of retrieving phone numbers which were stored on phone memory. and if i had things my way i will buy another one. well done to the SAMAUNG TEAM.

I've had this phone for 2 years now, and it sucks bigtime. Very bad sound quality during calls, very low battery life, bad calendar functionality, etc etc.
This phone has made me decide never to choose for Samsung again.

The Samsung Z500 uses a small memory stick called: microSD (TransFlash)
You can use a card reader on any PC and drag and drop any music file you like and listen to them on the phone later make sure they are .mp3 format though.
Also the volume on my Z500 is so loud its amazing, Ive heard alot of issues with the speakers but mine is VERY loud, and therefore Im pretty much happy with my Samsung Z500

had this phone for 18 months overall very disapointed with it cant wait for upgrade the screen too small ,so internet connection a waste of time , mp3 player ok but not loud enough and loudspeaker a whisper , inner screen taken up with top and bottom info bars which limit its size and what can be seen. On my third model in only 18 months as phone keeps swithching to emergency only network or just dies. So not been able to use all features just ads to disapointment..upgradeing to sony or nokia soon , this is the first and last samsung i will own period

Meh.. its an okay fone.. although its very quiet with the mp3 feature and it is fairly hard work gettin data off ur pc on to it. Also every game except one on there is just a trial which kinda sucks, and my internet thing dont connect.. if u have any solutions to any of these problems IM or Email me at nath.chapman@hotmail.com, thanks

Im a huge fan of Samsung, especially my first E700 which was amazing. When the Z500 came out I bought it and its just great, has excellent sound, battery, camera. I havn't really had any issues as some people have had, so i guess Im the lucky one! I hope Samsung continue making the 'E700' flip design style, you just cannot beat it.

I have had this phone for one year and like it very much. The camera is great and produces lovely pics through a bluetooth connection onto my comp. The Mp3 is ok, as it only holds about 7 songs but volume is great. The only downside is the battery must be recharged every night or it dies on me in the day. Apart from that, it is a very sturdy and robust little thing and has survived being dropped into water (my dogs water bowl. No signs of wear and tear even after a year of thrashing.
