The Z540 is a Vodafone exclusive, they like having their own models. I guess it works as I went with Vodafone just to get this over the Z510 - the keypad is IMHO much nicer but otherwise, its pretty much the same.
Is there any way to get a screenshot from the phone's screen (not a photo taken by the phone but a photo/shot of the actual screen when, say, at the menu)?

What is realy the difference between the z540 and the z510? Why did samsung relase 2 nearly identical phones?

I'm interested in purchasing from Vodafone Australia, however not released here till later in the month. Just wondering if anyone knew if the Z540 has a "flight mode" function to use the MP3 player without the full phone switched on?

i havent got mine yet but its nice to hear u say nice things. I have had E700 and was great... wondering if this is of the same high quality(Obviously it will be more modern but will it be as good as the E700 was for its generation)

had it for 2 weeks now, and i love it! apart from vodafone restricting what you can do with it...i wanna put games on it from my pc :'(
shame theres no memory card and i feel the 1.3m cam is fine!

I moved from a Nokia 6280 to this phone and I am very impressed. The only problem is that I cannot open my contacts when connected to my computer in Samsung PC Studio. This is annoying as I want to update my contacts list but there must be a solution. Is there?

Saw the golden 804ss on plemix.com for sale. Vodaphone simply killed this phone. Better to wait for the original factory unlocked Z540.

I can't get the "Manage contacts and more" to work in Samsung PC Studio. I have just bought the Z540 and want to "clean up" my contacts, but the icon for that in PC Studion is not active. Pls help.

Using this in Japan. Great phone, great features, works everywhere in 3G - even Borneo where I was recently.
Only issue is I can't get MP3s to work on this despite documentation saying it is support. Still trying to figure this out, Vodafone don't seem to be able to help..

if you don't want Vodafone, you gotta wait for the official Z540 to be released. Right now only the 804ss from Vodafone is released.

I picked up a few 804ss from Voda japan!! seriously one of the best from Samsung! great design, great screen! i love the UI!

The Z540 is certainly available in the UK. Had one - sent it back as rubish! - and seen it in a couple of Voda stores.

Z540 is not out yet.. but the 804SS is out which is the vodafone japan version of this phone. Please check vodafone.. and someone got it unlocked already so it's usable outside of japan.. still new news tho
