I am not a fan of the Moto RAZR or V3x for the simple reason that although it is a very thin phone when you open it up it still has the fat piece t the bottom of the phone which looks REALLY ugly. This phone is the first really thin, 3G/UMTS mobile phone that doesnt have that revolting fat part. In response to several other posts about this phone;
1. 1.3MP is fine for a mobile camera! All of you saying Samsung should include 2, 3 or more mega pix cameras...carry a decent dedicated digital camera with you!
2. This phone will NOT be cancelled as it is already in mass production in both Korea and Japan, and will go on sale in Japan on the Vodafone K.K network as the "Samsung 804SS" from mid march (See the Vodafone K.K Japan website here(page 4):

After its inital launch in Japan it will then go on sale accross the Vodafone networks worldwide, starting with the European networks.

Another 1.3mp camera phone... can you come out with a 5mp camera phone!!! Don't waste time on 1.3 anymore, cos the picture is so poor. At least give me a 3mp. Other than this the design is very stylish.

This is a fantastic phone. Who cares if its a copy of the Moto V3x, they should be flattered. Besides, this is better. I have the fat part at the bottom on the Moto phones! Thin phones is where the future is! I want this phone now!

i read its got a flash function but i cant see one on it from any of the photos around.... this website said its going to get the phone soon and is already offering contracts for when it comes out

i think it looks better than the v3x the only thing that has better is the 2mp camera as this is 1mp
samsung phones and software seem to be better as a whole to
cant wait till this comes out!!!!

Yo people straight up, Razr is oldddd and i say it sucks, like people say ooooh its copy, but its BETTER...MUCH BETTER, i would prefer this phone more than the v3 anyday!
10/10 FOR SAMSUNG!

well in case u havent noticed "carbonize" they made this phone to be like the razr because of its thin design.thats the only purpose , and im not stupid

Why do stupid people keep trying to compare this to the V3 Razr? the V3 is over a year old and is a standard phone. This is a 3G phone and as such should be compared to the V3x with it's 2 megapixel camera, memory card slot and MP3 player.

I think that this phone is actually pretty cool. I mean come on its like the razr but has more features.I would give it a 9 out of 10.

Does anyone know if this phone has a flash function, if u look closely where the camera is on the right hand side it looks like there might be but possibly just my eyes! It doesnt say there is on the stats so not sure....

What are you talking about? The V3 is just a empty shell. It has great design, however it can't compete in functionaity with Samsung. Samsung is known for good screens (Z540 has two of them), good sound (Z540 has mp3 player with equalizer, stereo speakers and stereo headphones, amd mp3 control keys on the front). Plus you have two cameras - 1.3 mpix cam with CIF video, VGA cam, 3G, and that thin clamshell design. What could a ordinary user like u ask for?

Samsung X 610 is just a candy bar phone.
Even if its thing its useless!!
RAZR V3 is Not just thin ! its a clam shell and its fantastic design!!

I would take it in a flash but, I have the Samsung E730, this is so much the same. Its need a 2mp camera and a memory card.

d2 - this is a good phone! but LG is making them better these days! Nokia need to Change there Designers? The best of the best are Samsung with there screens and music, Motorola are pure quality business phone like LG mobiles. LG is a stopwatch, a converter of weight if your a gold trader- currency if your on hollidays changing currency, Photos you can edit to make larger, Videos simply stop to capture turn to a photo, Play games when your board or play music louder from the outside speakers, Record a friends voice if you have No pen to write down a number, talk about coming of age! Mobiles these days look at the 21st century. The big 3 are LG u8380 or u880, Motorola all, Samsung D600,D800 etc but thats my opinion. Most Samsungs are good! My wife has one and is ver happy.

Have you all ever heard about Samsung X610? If not, here are some facts: announced in 1Q 2004, mono-block design, 11.8 mm THIN. No success on the market, available in only few countries. However Motorola took a look at it and in 3Q 2004 released the famous Razr V3. So don't just talk around - read a little bit before you attack.
And about the new Z540i, overall I think is a great phone when compared with the V3, V3i, even the V3x which I believe will not come cheap. And that cheap and old interface that Motorola still uses...
However, I'm looking for an upgrade and the Z540 is in my mind, along Nokia 6270, Motorola Q and Sony Ericsson W550

Honestly this looks to me a copy!!
If its a goog looking Phone I'll buy it!
For those people care a lot about menu's.I have to say that who will be haning up with the phones 24 hours a day! no one its not a computer!!!
