Hey, im from S.A. I got dis phne for my bday 2yrs ago and it reali is a great phone. Gud memory, nyc external display, 3g a bonus bt... Da fact ders no card slot sucks and da sound can b soft when outdoors. Wana try something new bt gona keep dis phone no doubt about dat! thankx

It seems this is a common problem. When you switch on your phone, as soon as it starts, hit green call-out button and keep it like that. Phone will come-up normally. After that switch-off and on again. Problem solved.

How do you keep the external display on??? Or at least make it come up without having to hold the volume button for 5 (!)secs. If you know how to do it pls let me know :( Cheers

Hey V804SS Guy, Take your 804 to a repair shop and asked for the generic Z540 firmware to be flashed to it. The Japanese firmware does have MP3 Restrictions and yes when you go over 160 Characters it either changes the msg into a MMS (well Jap Sharps do) or will stop u typing. If you have that phone flashed to a different firmware you will notice a difference. Timmy

have had the phone 2 years droped it in the toilet spilt coffee on it and still works like a bom. most reliable, neva ad a single prob

my phone just started doing that too.it has the samsung screen, vodafone splash then it freezes when the sim card comes up. then it starts again. is there anyway to reset the phone? even with no SIM card inserted it does this!

ive got 804ss but can't send long messages
and also can't forward long messages. i can't even download mp3, can't transfer pics
to pc. please help

Well folks, you have a very charming cell phone (SGH Z540) Please, use it with particular care and DO NOT DROP IT! I am using my phone 1.5 years and it is still as "JUST BAKED" I LOVE IT!

i hav had this fone a year now and i am very happy with it. all the features are great, has loadsssssssss of memory and i can put lots of music tracks on it. luv the bluetooth. its workin wel...although now my fone has beeen ruined kos my lil sibling washed it..... but still its workin wel.....i luv it......and i would recomend ny 1 buying it 2 go ahead.,...... u wont b dissapointed.. ITS THE BST FONE I HAV EVER HAD :)...if ny 1z havin problems and needs help. i will b more den happy 2 hlp if i can.......................:)

I've recently got this phone and having some trouble in downloading mp3.I've selected the USB connection type on connection wizard and it's supposed to take a few minutes but it's like a lifetime!(elapsed time:20452)!..I'd really appreciate if someone could be of any help and here is my mail:merich_zehra@yahoo.com.tr

Can't recieve photo messages. Long camera delay from time of actually taking the photo from it actually taking the photo- impossible if you have your child who is always on the move to take a decent pic!

i hv always wanted a clamshell phone and i got this cool SGh-Z540 on 7June, i 'counted' the internal memory and i waas shocked to realise that the memory was not only 140mb but 160mb!

yes it's vibrating with the sound. finally (thanks to god)samsung fixed this problem

hey guys. just got my vodafone 804ss yesterday. it's great! especially since i've been wanting a clamshell phone for the longest time.

i have a problem though. i can't receive any files through bluetooth. i can, however, send files to another mobile phone or to a PC but i'm unable to receive from any bluetooth device.

secondly, whenever i activate my bluetooth, a pop-up window comes up that says "no bluetooth address!! set th BD address or it will do the wrong action." i noticed that there are some who have the same problem, but i haven't read any post that answers it, or maybe i just missed it.

Nice phone, battery suffers greatly when using 3G, drops usage from a couple of days to hours... I am dissapointed about the lack of synchronising ability with the pc software (messages and calender). Unless I am the only one with this problem I see this as one of the biggest flaws.
