All i meant to say is Its better for us..the consumers when the manufactures comes up with many differnt models. Samsung is flooding the market with so many same looking models. they are all black... but hey check the dimensions...they are getting lighetr and slimmer as well.

Pick the make and model that suites you. peace.

Many people are posting about similarities in models. So I thought about making a comparison.

SAMSUNG:

Bar phones:
It seems Samsung is not interteste in bar phones..I dont like them either. Clam shell and sliders has many advantages..
1. Z150
2. C130 & C240 , x630---I would perefer to put them in the same design catagory..nothing great.
3. i300, i300x & i310----they all are hard disc music phone and has a distictive look from the rest.
4. x820 & z370.----z370 is 3G version of x820, May God and Samsung know why them name it like that.

Card phones:
Interestingly this is a new segment started by Samsung "calculator" phone P300..and now we have LG KG99 (http://www.slashphone.com/89/4734.html) and HTC "Muse" looks pretey much same but i dont know the dimensions.
1.P300 "calculator" phone. & P310.

Sliders:
1. D500, D510, D600, E860, E370, S400i, Z350, Z400, P200 are all different versions of D500.
2. D520, D800, D720, Z550----looks different from D500 and has no chuncky base
3. D820, D840, D870, D900 and now Z720 has a little chucky base at the bottom.
4. E900---slider with touch sensative buttons..dont tell me this looks like other samsungs.

Clam Shells:
1. D830 & Z620.---both wiht small out display. Z620 is 3G version of D830.
2. S401i, S500i, E500, E380, D780 & E780, ZV50, ZV40, Z560, Z600, Z520, Z330, Z310, X500, X680, X300, E770, E360, ZV30,--let me put them in all in same design catergory.
3. D810, Z510 & Z540---thin and flat, they look all same and pretty close to RAZR.
4. E870---this is different.
5. X210, X160, X200, X150---flip wiht no external screen
6. P850 & Z700----calm sheel with Swivel design screen but thick
7. Z720 ---calm sheel with Swivel design screen but thin and different look
8. D300 ----this is more like N93 kind with screen that opne both ways.
9. P900, P910 & P920 calmshell with Swivel horizontal screen design.

Business phone with QWERTY Keyboard:
1. i320

---------------------------------------------

CONCLUTION:

All new Samsungs are black, that doesnt mean they are all same. They launch way too many phones at a time and their NAMING system is BIG time messed up. Thats why it looks like 'oh my god why there are so many same looking phones'....if you looks closely..its not true. Motorola RAZR has 10 different versions...do you see them in motorola page..NO you just see V3 and V3i. and you feel happy. Everyone is reclycling their old models.

Sorry I took the whole page.

slim hsdpa... looks pretty good to me... i just hope this phone does not limit you to 4 playlists and 30 songs per playlist like in my e900... otherwise samsung phones' functionality is satisfactory (i still think nokias are easier to use).

All the phones do look alike in style but why can't any company make a few good quad-band phones?? not everyone can use a tri-band in certain areas!

Why are the new phones don't have flash? Without flash, people can't take picture at night or using it as a torch. Come on Samsung!!!!!

Very similar to the D900, only additional feature by the looks of it is the VGA Video call camera. Its thicker aswell, not much different, still a good phone though. O and ofcourse HSDPA, which is a further improvement on 3G i suppose.
