I have had the Z720 since April.
-and I'm thinking about changing to the u700.. I can't live with the downsides of z720:
- slooow camera.. Forget pictures of moving objects! (not even with low res!)
- when you unlock the phone, the "phone is unlocked"-message stays visible far too long and there's no way to get it away before it's "finished"-so to say..
- the phone has indeed frozen a couple of times (I think it restarted itself like two or three times..)
- No music whilst sending sms etc.
- No Mp3 for message tones (though you may use your own poly/mono/.amr-tunes
- battery life (lasts up to 6 days with ONLY sending sms, but maximm two days if you take pictures (the phone's backside gets quite hot whilst charging.
I'd definitely go for the u700. -it's newer and more slim, and all these bugs are probably (hopefully) fixed.
- I know you can listen to music while you multitask on the U700!!
- the U700 looks stunning! (with a huge mirror when the phone is off or dark.

this fone is nice. but one thing i don'tlike about it is that there is no game installed! and you cannot change the themes. but if som1 out there knows how to do it, kndly help! thanks

hi, im considersing bying th samsung z720 as i am needing a upgrade, but after hearing many downfalls of the battery life not lastin long and the back of th phone heating up im not sure, would anyone b able to advise me wether to get it or not?

Am due an upgrade, cant decide between u700 and z720...any ideas? does the z720 allow you to chose an sms tone or are you stuck to the pre set ones like on other samsungs?

i like this phone.;well.
cos.it's my phone.i bought it oready.but.i didn't knoe.there's gold and silver.i would've boutght the silver one.dang.instead i got the black one.

Pls, what is live caster ? I have read that disabling this feature the battery duration is normal. Disabling this feature, which is the battery duration ?

I'm thinking whether i should get this phone but i've got some questions. Anybody out there or current z720 users can answer my doubts please? ;)

Does this phone have black and white UI like the d900 and u600?
Point 2:
Does this phone have image editor?
Point 3:
Can we have customisable sms alert?

Not sure how it could be Vodafone exclusive, they dont even have HSDPA. Telstra just launched it on its Next G network meaning big coverage on little phone. And finally samsung have let you choose your own message tone!

I mean a have videos takes by a digital camera at mp4 format qvga...can it play them????

Got the phone about three months ago on Vodafone contract.
When I was first ordering a phone I was going to buy the D900, the sails person talked me out of it and said it had all of the same capabilities and more than the D900 because it was "exclusive" to Vodafone.
I questioned whether it had a flashlight on the back which he assured me it did and subsequently did not, he assured me that with this phone I would be getting free Vodafone live which I found out yesterday was a lie and that my contract has been "miss sold" after I wrote a letter to the chief executive.
When I received the phone I was a little disappointed, with it not havening a flash some pictures that were took in the dark were poor, it has the poor Vodafone interface on the menus etc., the finish is not as good as the D900 although the camera and other features are quality.
All in all I would suggest the D900, the U600 or the Sony Erricson k810i
