don't buy this phone, the service sucks!!
I already did buy Sendo X and there was a problem with the phone, they didn't look to repair it and I have been waiting for more than 4weeks before they give an anwser: refund of the phone with no further explanation. So I think that buying this phone is no good thing because there is no service at all.....

It won't be released now.
It turns out Motorola bought the rights to the phone, so no-one else csn release the phone, even though Motorola don't own a Series 60 license.
Look out for future Moto products based on Sendo technology though ;-)

However, rumours currently circulating (see www.sendosmartphones.com for more info) suggest that one of the operators who had already agreed to take the X2 *might* launch it as their own branded phone. This is because the phone was literally weeks away from launch when Sendo called in the administrators.
hopefully it does be released with the operator because i really was looking forward to getting this phone.

No, Motorola won't ever release the X2. They didn't buy the rights to Sendo's phone range, nor do they own a Series 60 license.

this phone will never be released now. motorola now owns sendo and worst thing for sendo x fans motorola never bought the rights to sendo x2 so now it has become vaporware. what's up with mobile makers going bankrupt ? tel.me was going to release a great new smartphone but then they went bankrupt then alcatel starts to lose out and now we don't know when their new music phone is going to be released (thats if) and now sendo goes bankrupt. imo nokia is my favourite of the phone makers and imo i think they are most reliable (this is just my opinion others may think motorola, se, samsung). i will be probably purchasing a nokia n70 as it is damn impressive and has everything i need (apart from infrared but it doesn't really bother me as it has bluetooth).

the X had some software bugs and 99% were fixed in the latest versions so the X2 for sure don't have them!

Geez, I learnt from some of my pals that Sendo X had some kinda of defect in the design. Sound stops coming out and phone just keeps vibrating at a point. How do we know Sendo X2 wont be the same ball game??!

i think this still has a chance to be released cuz there's still a press release on sendo.com just for the X2 unlike the K1 and S1

None of the new Sendo handsets will now be released. Motorola are only taking on R&D staff and technology portfolio. Used to work for these guys, and i can tell you, they went bust cos they spent more then they earnt
The talk was that even Vodafone UK were planning to drop them from their product portfolio

Sendo X2 is expected to be launched in UK in July 2005. Its a long wait for me, but I willing to hold my purchase till then. Hope its worth the wait!

good looking phone, nice keypad design with big centre navi switch.
It could look even better if the colour of the housing and the window frame are the same.
This phone uses the same operation platform as Nokia smart phones(series 60) but with a price tag of only £150, this phone should sell well.
