you can use mp3s as ringtones however since all sharp phones dont allow you to place an illegal downloaded file as ringtone, you'll have to insert a legal file into the phone to trick it first

i guess it doesnt read .mp3 extensions meaning that it will read another type of file extension to work as a mp3 ringtone?

hey guys i've finally got the orange sx313...
lets clear up some things
- mp3 ringtones cannot be used as it says it's an illegal file. you have to use another way to trick the phone
- mp3 ringtones can be more than 3mb. i have one right now thats 4mb and it works
- it doesnt have flash on the camera which sucks

There are many pc applications that can cut mp3, becoming them smaller in time (only a part of the song) and then smaller in size.

the mp3 must be less than 3mb for rgtones. n no mp3 cutter in fone, so must be resize in pc

I've read that it doesn't have flash, but it support mp3 as ringtone, but they can't be of big size, this is not a problem because the time a phone is ringing is about 30-40 sec, and you can never listen the entire mp3. the solution is to use a mp3 cutter and only use the song part that you like more.(sorry for my english if i've mistakes)

jayden n mik, der is no flash on cam, n no mp3 ring tone eithr, u wil need d same method as with v902 or v903 if u want mp3 ringtones

Okay, the specs on this site really isn't 100% true. So can someone who REALLY possesses one of these and the non-Jap version answer some of my questions:
1. Can this phone set mp3 as ringtone?
2. Does this phone have flash?(external)

i think you need to just use any old mp3 converter program to crank up the volume before you load it on to your sd card.
how is the video quality?

yes .. the phone has mp3 player !! althhough it sounds a little low .. i am looking for a way to increase the volume more than the soft allows. Do you know a way ??

numnut, the max limit of the miniSd is 256mb, only if u hav d chinese version which is the SX313, then the max extends to 1Gb
