everybody, i live in indonesia, and i use sharp 802 and using indosat - mentari for the sim card... but i cant set the gprs or mms setting.... anyone can help me pls...

to candy, i think u r using Japan version. Have it flashed to Euro version at greenhills to be able to play MP3. It will cost you 500-600php...

Im back to this site...
To all who had just recently bought this phone, i'd lyk to share these;
*For Euro Version
-can play selected MP3's (192kbps)
-can set MP3(.mmf file) as ringtone(trimmed up to 300kb or 25sec only) using WSD program (can be downloaded at yamaha site, see prev post)
-message succesfully sent cannot be saved @ sent items folder
-cannot activate MMS/GPRS manually( can be thru network operator e.g., SET GPRS N70 to 211 for smart user)
-no problem on phonebook setting
*For Japan Version
-have re-provisioning setting
-cannot play MP3(need to convert to +AAC format, see prev. post)
-MMS/GPRS can be activated manually(see prev. post for complete setting)
-have problem on phonebook arrangement

bdway,for those who have no accs. for this phone, have bought charger & headset @ harrison plaza 2nd flr. i think, these can be also available at greenhills.

Guys,i have a problem dealing with my sharp 802. i cant send messages, cant delete those ones saved in the outbox and cant recieve any messages at all. what do i do? im so desperate and frustrated....HELP PLEASE. :-( i'd really appreciate it. God bless..

hi everyone!!! i just got my 802sh recently.. my questions is that..
1. why is my sent messages does not save in the sent folder??? it always EMPTY?!?
2. wher can i buy USB cable and EARPHONE for my phone (im from the philippines)

hello hope i could help & i also have aquestion of my own.
MMS/GPRS SETTINGS:
for globe you can use the N70 settings. for smart i don't know...GLOBE: text GO N70,,1234 to 2915...
for sharp phones that keeps on flashing the "please wait" or "initializing" its safe to have it reporgrammed on your trusted cellphone clinics...make sure to inquire regarding the version they're using to flash it..it's quite expnsive though...plus it's much safer to use a desktop charger (and it's much cheaper)...online chargers can corrupt your programs especially your battery during power surges & would usually destroy the socket where the charger is plugged...
most sharp802 can't use mp3 tones as mssage alerts you have to find out what version it is and make sure your mp3's are genuine or copyrighted...
for those using bluetooth try using 9999 or 1111 as codes to receive and transfer files...to those using your PC or laptops its much safer to use a car reader...

no need to change anything on the streaming settings bro..it will be set together with the other.. basta delete all profiles on MMS and WAP settings..
then send the setting i've informed on my previous posts..

to ervie:
about your GPRS settings, what's you network operator, smart or globe?
if smart, sorry i don't know..
if globe, go to connectivity, internet settings, application and then delete all profiles on your WAP and MMS settings..
then send this to 2951,
GO N70,,1234
upon receiving the confirmation from globe, send 1234 as password..
wait for another confirmation and you'll receive an IOTA provisioning, DO NOT PRESS 'BACK'.. press 'OPTIONS' then 'APPLY'
a provisioning meter will flash on your display..and upon finishing, you're ready to go!
what's not good is that whenever you turn off your fonw, you need to do everything all over again.. tsk..

sharp 802 rules.. the mp3 loudspeaker sound may not be as fine as my SE p900 or w550i, but guys this is a fone, not an mp3 jukebox!
what i like best with 802 is the mp4 video recorder and player..my nokia and SE can't beat that..
my daughter's is a majorette and she's captured on video very finely even her fast hands! imagine that on a fone! and it's on full screen gosh!
hehe.. all i can say is that, this fone's great!
