I heard that the one you buy in Europe are unocked... But, I don't know if that's true. If it is true, I think there is alot of V902SH on eBay for sale as an "unlocked" handset. So I guess that the European Vodafone handset comes unlocked??? I doubt it!!! Maybe later, a couple months later there might be a unlocked V902SH available, but not now.
hey, can you guys help me!? im trying to buy 902 in english, because i think english ones are better than japanese, im japanese anyway. but i dont know where to get without any vodafone contract because i dont want to use the sim, i just wanna unlock it... then use other sims, basically i just want the phone to unlock. it would be so cool if i can buy it unlocked. i have been to nowicom as you guys told me, and phone assesories site, nowi is too expensive, 650 pounds, another one didnt accept my credit card. so could you guys recond anything because im sure you will know better about europe than me, im now studying in uk university anyway.

if you have looked at trends of phones they are getting beiiger like n840, m900, 7280, 7610, it is the style to be bigger for all the feature is has, you should only be concerend with style and function, plus sharp phones have always been big
Need some advise. Desperately want a new phone. Own a GX20. Is this phone worth it? Really. The only thing that conerns me is the size, not folded but when it's open-20cm, F**k me!
Shall I go for it or not?
And also you Sharp lovers.......What of the GX 40??? That might be one to look out for.
i think the sharp 902 is a very cool 3g handset i love the way they are selling cameras with phones attached[ha ha ha ]i also love the mp3 player
big pimpa, v3 might look better better but its usless, all those features and no memory, crap crap crap
...it DOES work "Note
• The formats that can be used for ringtones are SMAF, MIDI (SMF, SP-MIDI), MP3, MP4
and XMF. Other formats cannot be used."
Mp3 as a ringtone?
According to the sharp 902´s manual -->http://www.sharp-mobile.com/_a...h_e_link.pdf
My aunt who's working in Japan uses this fone. Accdg to her, its camera & video has an excellent quality. Imagine, 2MP camera? Wow! That explains it all! How I wish it's also available here in d Philippines (sob sob sob) ^_^
How MASSIVE is this fone like. I thort da old nokias were big but make way cos eres da 902 comin threw.
BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG! Even V800 is smaller and better and better still Moto Razr V3 looks better
so this phone is currently available in japan & europe only and sim locked to vodafone?? does anyone know if this can be unlocked and used for any provider aside from vodafone?? id like to have one of this, but unfortunately mobile phone providers in my country doesnt have any tie-ups with vodafone., i was thinking of getting one in japan but after reading the post, ive changed my mind
Built in speaker or external (headset) problem??? I have my 902 for over 2 weeks and so far the sound is clearer than the V801SH through the headset and the built in two stereo speaker sounds not bad for the size. What kind of problem? Is it distortion or low volume? I would like to know more in detail if you hear more about this issue. I have not receive any kind of recall from Vodafone yet (hope I don't get one...) I'll have to ship it back from Hawaii.
Im waiting for my 902 to arrive, since vodafone informed me that they currently dont have any until february 9th
I was informed by Vodafone that the Sharp 902 has been recalled due to a software fault!!! Does anyone else know anything about this????
Has anyone faced any issues with there phones regarding sound quality?
>the handset is 3G compatible, meaning >faster download/upload speeds of up to >384kbps. not the 32-40 mentioned in the >handset features on this website.
I believe this is a common misconception. When sharp say they can do 384 Kbps they mean bits and not bytes... There are 8 bits to a byte so do the math, it means you can download upto 48Kbs(Kilo Bytes). It is true you can realistically only download around 40Kbs which is almost half a meg broadband since that download speed is capable of 64Kbs... hope that makes sense... I have this phone and use it to connect via a VPN to work and it works well when I'm in London with good 3G reception.
Maximum size 512? Nope, I have been using a 1gb kingston sd card for a week or so loaded with films, pictures and mp3s and it works great.
