hey, u can have normal mp3s as ringtones.. no mmf or such things.. no matter of the mp3 size:) there is a trick for sharp 902.. i will post it if u want.

Please can someone tell me if the 902 or 903 can playback sd videos for up to 1hour regularly without the phone been damaged. I use mine to watch movies even up to 1 and half hours but thd phone usually get hot. I am afraid if i am killing my phone.

please...can anyone tell me where can i find the (Handset code)...???!!!
nothing is working without this (handset code) even the bluetooth...I don't know where to fine it...please help me..

Here's how you convert mp3's to .mmf so they work with The Sharp 902.

1. Create and/or edit the content (mp3file) in The Audacity Free Audio Editor and Recorder. (google it)

2. Export to .WAV file in Audacity.

3. import the .WAV file using WSD wave sound decorator. (google it) Set the setting to MA-3, and export as a .mmf file. (I've managed to get files up to 350k to work, alyhough it seems to differ somehow, dont ask me how or why that is.)

4. Put the MMF file in your SD cards ringtones folder and then send the file as an MMS to yourself. The file then has to be saved on your phones ringtones folder, as ii tont work if its on the SD card.
(Or create an account with services such as Zedge etc and then download it on to your phones memory.)

That's how I do it. There might be other ways to do it, but thats how I roll. ;)

sharp 902 can only assign those mp3 file that are directly downloaded to the handset, and with the size not above 100kb. so you can transfer a mp3 songs to your handset from the pc and set it as the rington. you can use your handset to get on the internet, and download an mp3 song that are below 100kb, and assign it as rington.

one way of doing this, is to use the nokia's media pack to retransform your big size mp3 songs into a smaller size, put it onto the internet, and download it from your handset, then assign your mp3 songs as rington.

How can I put a mp3 file as Rigtone, I tried but tehre is a error on all my mp3 files : "Can't asign. Due to ilegal file."

The 902 has a lot of built in extras -some of which Iv yet to figure out.can anyone advise of any way to download photos from both handset and memory card onto a PC.The software wont load from the disc and i need to clear the phone immediately.
Any ideas?

ON the euro firmware can u or cant u just bring over a mp3 file from a computer and use it as a tingtone. or do u have to download it.is this a lock by sharp or by vodafone? cause then if its unlocked from vodafone will u be able to then??

This phone is brilliant , if you check on your messages settings it states automatically delete sent items,you need to chose no because it defaults to yes.

need some help
i also got this phone and i have the same problems posted below.first i can't use the sent tones as ringtones. second, messages that had been sent are not saved in "sent items". third, i can't use my 3G, MMS, WAP, and other internet settings because it's not yet confogured. i have a Globe sim...and i'm dying for it be configured....in addition, i can't set my pictures with 300kb or more as my wallpaper. how can i deal with these problems...the phone is so cool but its giving me a real pain!thanks!
