I have this phone for maybe half a year. I was wondering is there any way to use custom ringtone? I've tried useing .mp3 at 128kbps and 96kbps, the ringtone was 39sec long. It would play, but would always say "illegal file" when trying to put as ringtone. I've also tried .wav, and renameing file to .mid, still does not work. It doesn't accept .asx either. I have yet to try .mid. Is .mmf the only extension that works? Please help.

I think my phone is maybe the HK release? Or chinese. Because it has madarin chinese language and english and two other chinese language choices.

i want a review of the sharp 903 from gsm arena. i cant think any reason why they dont write a review of such great phone like this one. and to think that sharp 903 was the the first 3mp camera phone that hit the market and only by that gsm arena could afford to spend some time to write something about this great phone!!!!But instead they only talked about sony ericsson k750 and nokia phones mostly about how great camera phones they are. Sharp 903 is not flawless but still it worths a proper review. I Hope Gsm arena responds to our opinios and give us a review because as a read to several opinions many request a sharp 903 review.

Here's what happened to me.. cut down version

Me 2 Vodafone - I want to cancel please
Vod - Why Sir
ME - Your upgrade prices are way out of line.
Vod - Please dont cancel sir, which phone is it you would like.
Me - The Sharp 903 but i know how pricey it is (they previously quoted me at £350, then £150)
Vod - would you take it if i offered it to you for £35 exc Vat
Me - Yes i would thank you very much, bye.

Vodafone are really really pricey until you threaten them with cencelling.
this has happened loads of times with various folk at work..

Really hope this helps somebody.

Hi Mike

There is no way of downloading the T9 input on the Vodafone 903Sh by SHARP.. however on the Sharp 903 and Sharp SX833 it comes with it.. GSM Arena have cocked it up a little bit cos they have the photo of the Vodafone 903SH by SHARP but specs for the Sharp 903 and have that the phone AKA SX833 but its also AKA Vodafone 903SH by SHARP.. Get me?

If you brought the phone as Japanese then you may be able to change the phne from 21 to 1 and then it wil be fine.. however i am not too sure if you can?? You will know if you have jap firmware cos 1) when you turn the phone on it says "please wait (in Japanese)" when the Euro one will say "Please Wait"... if you decide to keep the Japanese ver please be aware that you wil have to convert all your MP3 tracks to MP4 (aac) inorder for them to play.. Jap firmware cannot recieve MMS unless its on Vodafone japans network also for texting to get a space you have to press right arrow 2 times.. unlike Euro when its just 0 key.

The Euro firmware is much much better but the jap fiwmware has themes and full screen walpaper with the option of turning the operator logo off ;)

Any more Questions? Also what colour did you get?

oh yeah and one more thing.... why does the specs on this page say that the 903 has T9? i wish they would of declared that it was only present in some versions of the 903 and not all... that being said i would of probably bought this phone anyways lol.... i just really hope I'm able to download the proper firmware so i can use t9... that function is EXTREMELY convinient when you're big on texting like I am!
