to the guy below me regarding the Sincere plaza in HK....which store is trustable because i am also considering to buy the water product of TX80 from toshiba...my mom will go back to hk this summer and she can buy it for me.....also do they also do trade-in? cux i have the w810i and dont want it anymore

I absolutely agree with you.
Sharp 904 (WCDMA/GSM roaming) phone is very similar to Verizon's old Samsung SCH-a795 ( CDMA phone with GSM roaming capable but without a sim card).

Regarding buying mobile at 'Sincere' in HK, this is the place famous for selling mobile directly imported. I have purchased several mobile phones a year from this place and trustable. However, buying this mobile still facing unlockable as so far no one could unlock the IC inside.

Ou of all Vodafones (=Verizon Wireless) B.S. games, Sharp 904 crosses all the limits:
The phone that is GSM capable is impossible to use with GSM carrier (not unlockable!) WOW!- Vodafone will not stop at anything!
LOGICAL QUESTION FOLLOWS:
What is the GSM in this phone for?
Only for Rich Japanese dudes who travel to
europe and the Sharp 904 simply will roam through GSM carriers so the huge $$$$$ will fall into Vodafone's pockets!)
CONCLUSION:
Vodafone=Verizon Wireless (they own the Verizon wirelss part, if anyone didn't know)
thus no wonder that Both companies always disable the phone's features (to rip off people with roaming, downloading and other crap!!)
UNTIL SHARP PHONE BELONG ONLY TO VODAFONE, they are dead for me! Not available, no use for them!

Sure you don't mean the 705SH / SX633?
That one is available via Smartone, but the 904SH maybe available there...just not unlocked.

this fone is available in Hong KOng for quite awhile now. one place for sure i know where to get the phone is in Mong kok...at a plaza called "Sincere" but people say their phones are not trustable.

Ok, so GSM says this phone is coming soon and not available because it's locked. So who is it locked to?? I have been waiting for more news on this phone since Feb 2006! The Sharp 903 was awesome and I'm dieing to see this one. Anyone have any news or links?

GSMARENA says "Available" to phones that are globally available.
The 904SH is a Vodafone/Softbank Japan exclusive only and has never been released outside of Japan.
So technically speaking it IS AVAILABLE, but never outside of Japan.
There is a 10% chance of an unlock, but I wouldn't hope for it.
