The Sharp phone (GX17) is quite good. It is 'solid', it can withstand rough handling. However it would have been perfect if it had MP3.
My PIN2 is blocked. How do I unblock it? Meanwhile I highly recommend this phone to any propective phone buyer.

I'm from Nigeria i'm making use of Sharp GX17 pls how can i activate my wap setting,Email setting and MMS setting?.Because there is no vodafone service in my country.pls send your reply to my Email box. xtianchino@yahoo.com,I love using your product.

well hey dis fne z like a old brick but this brick is the brick that lets me txt call and most imporotantly take photoes of myself and that so andy you should be thanking da fne not taunting it but hey

My GX17 goes to voicemail after just a few rings. I have searched but can't find how to lengthen the ring time before answerphone cuts in. Any help out there please?

Why are ppl still commenting on this phone? It's only loaned out as a temp fix from vodafone while the're fixing your newer better one. Anyway it works fine for such an old brick.

Im used to a nokia, This phone does not hold a candle next to even my old 3210. The menu system makes little sense, creating a text message is absolutely awful - to the degree that i have to slow down to the same speed as the phone otherwise it misses keystrokes. It let's me save numbers to my sim card, but doesnt show them in the contacts list.. what a load of rubbish.

A nice looking phone, good size for carrying around. I had to get my initial phone sent in to be fixed, and 5 months later I tracked it down. Generally a good phone, "pigs would fly" that this phone has bluetooth capability though. Would prob get a Nokia next time around.

Does anyone know where you can get help for this phone - I'm having problems connecting the Bluetooth with my computer.
PS, I agree with most of the people on here. It's rubbish. I'm replacing it as soon as I can afford it.

The phone is well built but has small memory the Video recording lenght is very small, wiht the games all the demo have to be real game instead of the trial version.

Just got one of these given to me. Trouble is I cant get the back off to put a sim in. I didnt get the instruction book with it. How does the back come off please.

Does anyone know why my alarms don't work. Same for the appointment thing. Alarms set for the morning seem to go off whenever they feel like it. Apart from that, a great phone. Good cam, good video, easy to use, and you can even call people on it.

Despite the negative views this phone is getting, I can honestly say it is great value for money. Only £40 from vodafone and it has got everything. Camera, video, infrared,bluetooth and WAP. It also looks stylish. If you are lloking for a cheap phone with basic functions. I higly recommend it.

What a load of rubbish - this is the worst phone I've used. The menu navigation is clumsy and far from intuitive, sending a text takes far too many keystrokes and it's generally poorly designed. Couldn't wait to replace it at teh end of my contract.

I've got a Gx 17 for allmost a year now and i like it...too bad it has only 1.8Mb of memory.for a phone it takes nice pics,and maybe the most important thing about it is that its verry stabile it does not has dumb errors

Hi Do not buy this phone.I have had mine for 12 months and it has been repaired once and still does not work properly even after being fixed.
Buyers beware that it does not play all types of ringtones either and that it has poor video footage and poor sound quality when recording

i've got a gx17 as a loan phone, and it's rubbish! do not buy one! images are poor quality, video is poor quality, and although it says it has bluetooth, i can't get to send or receive anything. and it doesn't look goood!
pay a bit more and get a better phone.
