Hi Rick, Go for the K700i, much better phone...more memory etc.. getting one myself...gx25 is too restrictive for me, it prevents files over 100k from being downloaded (no good for swapping vids with your mates)and will only let you download games via wap with k700i download games from the net and put them on your phone with a bluetooth dongle attached to your pc or a data cable and send 'em to your phone piece of p****...but if your not bothered about swapping funny vids with your buds via bluetooth and don't play games then i suppose there's nothing wrong with the gx25... hope this helps you a little Rick

hi was just wondering if anyone could help me with a small dilema. I am trying to decide between the sharp gx25/gz200, and sony ericsson K700i. I currently have an older model sony ericsson and have had nothing but problems with it, the same go's with a few of my friends that also have sony phones. Does anyone know if they have sorted they're problems out by the K700i ? Or if the sharp is just a better phone anyways
......thanks

Yes, without pressing the any ans key.pretty sure that most of the Samsung flip phones can do that.

When I received the phone, it was a case of love at first sight, but the relationship did'nt last long when I could not get it to handshake with my blutooth handsfree kit in the car so it's going back tommorow.Pity, it seemed to have everything I was looking for in a mobile.

Regarding conecting the phone to pc via a bluetooth dongle and getting handset manager to connect with the phone....what you need to do is pair up your phone with the software that came with your dongle(IVT Bluesoleil in my case)and click on the serial port icon, it should then tell you it's connected via serial port 5 as in my case or whatever. then in handset manger the gx25 software click on 'option' then 'interface setup' and select the serial port that your dongle software has given you. hope this helps :)
P.s the fact that this phone resticts the max file size of 100kb for file tranfers and you can't upload games to it via bluetooth makes this phone a lame duck for me. Get yourself a phone that is more userfriendly. i don't actually own one, friend has and i'll steer well clear.

Hi Zorica. It depends on the things you consider the most important when it comes to a mobile phone. This handset has very good software (quick), very good sound and excellent (I mean excellent) display. It´s a bit short on memory but still with the bluetooth you can make up for that (and you can store quite a few images anyway). I would recommend it hands down. As for the other phone you mention what I know is from the web, I can´t give any personal experience on that. Cheers.

How do you explain this, is it ignorance (though if u paid US$400, when I got one for A$399) or deliberate misinformation?
"
And this will display the picture on the external screen? Read the whole message, yes I know you can attach a picture to a name on the internal screen, but I was saying there is no external screen.

And if anyone one of you bougth this phone in December of 2004 for under $400 USA, you should be in the mobile phone business then.

only one word to discribe this phone but u cant swear on here! this is just a cheap tacky phone with a camera stuck in it and as for the video your having a laugh, normal capture about 10 secs, exstended capture, wait for it about 25 secs!!! if anyone is thinking of getting it dont waste £200 i read a review saying it was a ferrari of phones whoever wrote that cant tell the difference between a ferrari and a robin reliant.Overall this phone is a total waste of money.

i got the Gx 25 today and i can tell it's the best phone i ever had. i had tried the Gx20 for about 2 years now but the Gx25 is much better: slim, stilish, light, bluetooh( data and voice), internal antenna the only missing thing comparing to Gx20 is the camera it's only a Cmos camera insted of CCD ( CCD are much better). anyway i'm glad to have it. in a word it's sharp to have a sharp!!!!

I have not got a sharp GX25 yet but i'm thinking of buying one. My question is: Is it true that you can't answer the phone by opening it? DO YOU REALLY HAVE TO PRESS THE GREEN KEY. Please answer back, i can't wait to buy it but i got to know this first

and 2) You can't answer the phone by opening it, like just about every other flip phone ever made....
I really hope I'm wrong about this. PLEASE do let me know if this is possible.

Otherwise, its a great phone, very light, good screen, good (enough for me) camera etc...

To add a word, choose options, then my dictionary then add the word of your choice.

I've just got this phone (for free on a contract) and after having a motorola, its a joy to use. The major drawbacks are:
1) the lack of memory
If you're planning to take hundreds of photos and some videos, it simply doesn't have enough

Does anyone know whether you can add words to the T9 predictive text on the GX-25. Also can you synchronise with Outlook via Bluetooth. I read you can only synch with a cable -that doesnt sound right. If you synch all your contacts and events etc does that use much of the 2.1Mb memory? Thanx

Dont listen to what anybody has to say about it on vodafone. If you like the phone, but hate the provider GET IT UNLOCKED!!!!!!!!
Thats what i'm gonna do. Picked mine up for €200 new, so dont give me crap about it being over-priced. Its mostly expensive in america, which would be right, as no american carrier offers it so you have to buy it sim-free and unlock.

Hi

Just want to revise my past comment:

the screen size is actually 3.06 x 4.08 cm\
therefore
with 240 x 320 pixel

the resolution would be 6,151 pixel/cm2

Very sharp, crisp, and the support of 262k colours makes it very vivid!
